Re: Klitschko-Fury II off again
The shenanigans surrounding the on/off/on/off rematch is actually more interesting than their original fight!
Long may it continue: just as along as we don't have to watch that poop again!

Years ago I thought TF was a fascinating and talented prospect. I loved watching him come up.
A little obnoxiousness like shoving Cunningham sold tickets.
But now it's clear he's a serious head case. His title fight made Weaver-Tillis look interesting and he is a bottom feeder lecturing us about the Bible. Spare us your lectures please.
Huge disappointment in and out of the ring.

Re: Klitschko-Fury II off again
Mental health issues my arse.
He's either in deep shit with the drug test or FW wanted the show pulling to save him from a big loss
Even if it is some kind of depression fvck him. He and his scumbag family badmouth other boxers and bully members of the press regularly.
The sooner the whole lot of em fvck off somewhere in their tacky caravans the better

"Huge" is an understatement in his case.Tony1244 wrote:Years ago I thought TF was a fascinating and talented prospect. I loved watching him come up.

Funny you write that because I almost wrote one more sentence which would have been: "I know that's the understatement of the year."
His physical hugeness, just makes the disappointment the huger.
Re: Klitschko-Fury II off again
I've never heard a prospect becoming the unified and lineal champion be called disapointing. Especially one who most considered not even the best prospect around then, and some said would barely make it above British level.
HIs reign has been disappointing after he beat Wlad, but that achievement will go down in history.

What he has done is take a HW division that was an absolute catastrophe for a decade and managed to make matters worse. He is a gargantuan disappointment, and I have been one of his most staunch defenders here until now.BitPlayer wrote:I've never heard a prospect becoming the unified and lineal champion be called disapointing. A Tyson Fury that fights is a Tyson Fury I'm willing to care about. The nonsense he speaks from a promotional standpoint is truly amazing. A Tyson Fury who doesn't fight is a moron family member on Facebook sharing easily dismiss-able opinion pieces; a pest, a waste of energy and time. If Fury is all wound up from the media attacking him for all the frankly lousy things he's said to the point where he can't fight any longer, who's fault is that? The media's, or the guy who's capacity to understand what it is he might have done incorrectly to incur their wrath is apparently nonexistent?

He may well be suffering from some medical issues, whether or not be depression. But it seems that the depression is a result of events post winning the Klitchko match. As BitPlayer has already nicely summarised, Fury feels vindicated since his win, and that people don't respect the victory. I think immediately after the win, he received nothing more than respect, as it was lauded as an unexpected, yet brilliant victory against a guy who had dominated the division for the last 10 years. However, the day after the victory, they had that most ridiculous, dickish press conference at the Reebok which only served to make people think twice about his character. Then throw in the NUMEROUS unwise comments about homosexuals, Jews, cross-dressers and rapists, his stock was likely to very quickly head south. Problem is he never ever really understood the gravity of his comments and how they would affect his reputation and his standing in the community.
As far as Tyson's achievements of becoming the linear champion go, I think people may need to calm down a little. As much as becoming such a champion is very commendable, it's not like he had to battle hard over 10 years to unify the belts. He beat one fighter, who was most certainly at the latter stages of his career, someone who quite recently turned 40. I think his legacy should be treated exactly as what it is, and that is of beating one man in his 40's, and getting 3 belts in the process.

He is suffering from taking PEDs which were found once, and he doesn't want them to be found again.
