Alrite Terry. How are you mate? There's a list of Ali's amateur achievements on the back of his photo that he occassionaly signs and gives out. I think there's a few left in the gym and if not, I think I've got one at home that I can bring in for you.Terence wrote:Anyone got amatuer info on Ali? I have Namibia only starting to join the Olympics in 1996 and Ali was only the 4th boxer to represent them in this field (at the 2000 games). I have Harry Simon as the first. Anyone got any info then can share on Ali as an amateur (plus it will help me cross-check his record). He was a solid hitter also. Thanks for any thing you can tell me.

Hi mate. That's right, I'm at Shannon's. Rocco is on the undercard and he's looking good. He was sparring last night. Did about 10 rounds. His fitness is getting better all the time and I've noticed his lateral movement is getting better from sparring with him.sweetscience wrote:Fish i take it your at Shannons
How is Jonno 'Ginger Chimp' Hussey looking at the moment
and isnt he now on the ALi undercard
I'll see you there tonight. I actually replied to your last message but for some reason I must have messed up submitting it. Had a chest infection a couple of weeks back and took some time off. Been getting back into recently but still at least 3 or 4 weeks away from fighting. See you laterTerence wrote:Hiya mate, how's it going? I left a message for you on another thread about Manchester gyms. You been training this week? I got a list of Ali's title wins so I'm doing alright now. Just wanted to know if anyone had his whole record or remembered his fights. Are you going next Sunday for the Okine fight? I'll be in the gym tonight to give Bob that thing I wrote about him.
hi mate. I can honestly say, I don't know. i got the gym late yesterday and never really had a chance to ask. It's a shame the ABA champ does'nt get automatic qualification for the Commonwealths. Looks like he's gonna miss out. I'll find out if he won or not tonight and post it on hereTerence wrote:Fish, did Denton win?
