If the AJ v WK fight happens how fast sell out?

Post by Mimmy »

So if this fight actually happens how fast do you think the fight will sell out if the fight was to happen at a venue in the UK?

it will be announced as sold out within minutes but there will be loads on tout sites (including one that conveniently has a sponsorship deal with AJ) and official tickets will miraculously appear on the official site closer to the time.....same as always.

Where is the option for one minute before they officially go on sale?

Would sell out very quickly - assume we are talking about MEN arena or whatever? Obviously a bit slower if its Cardiff.

It's going to sell out in minutes regardless of the opponent.

Dunno if it's something the AJ Hype Train or what, but feels weird this one. He's the "next world superstar" etc and all that sh*t that people come out with, fighting in my home city and I have zero interest in even trying to get tickets.

He'll fight a bum. Parker at best, who he can bang out quite easily I think. Tickets will sell out in seconds. Just can't even be arsed to try.

Thats the thing I suppose. I would love tickets but I know even if I try dead on 9am as soon as they go on sale its going to be impossible to buy any, unless I want to buy them at twice the cost on the ticket touting site.

Its about time the governement who deal with touting made this illegal. Its just touting made legal now isnt it?

A lot of ticket sites tend to crash at 9am. I wanted some tickets for my son to see The Courteneers at Leeds, went online at 8-45 and soon as 9am came the site crashed, never got on until 20 minutes later when only the crappy seats where available.

After the pre sale, members sale, fight pass sale about 4 thousand will go on general sale with about 15-20 thousand people trying to buy them, absolute farce

I think you have the wrong end of the whole stick. Its not about who sells tickets the quicker its about being ripped off by other outlets that save tickets for themselves and sell them at twice the price. When tickets go on sale it should be a fair forum for people to buy, not by giving many thousands of tickets to legal touts to sell at inflated costings.

I couldnt give a fiddlers fart which boxer sells the most, im more interested in is buying tickets at face value from the ticket seller, not from an legal tout who has been given them before the buyer has had chance to buy.

Depends on location. Manchester arena sells out in a few minutes, Wembley within an hour, Millenium stadium I could see that taking a day or longer.

Eddie should wait until Wlad gets a belt and do the fight in the summer in Wembley. The fight belongs in Wembley considering Froch / Groves sold out Wembley.

If Joshua- Klitschko happens and the former beats the latter via stoppage- does that take away from Fury's win at all?

Could anything more be taken away from Tyson's victory?

Probably within 90 seconds according to Eddie and as others have said we then see all the tickets on stubhub. Matchroom do this with every sport they control. Try getting table seats for any session of the world darts at the Ally Pally. All sold out. Try getting world championship snooker final tickets. All sold out and yet available on resale sites within seconds. Matchroom are a cancer on sport.
