I'll take bowe by grueling Dec or late stoppage, Liston by early ko in the rest.

I think Lewis as well Bowe would have a good chance.

He would have little trouble taking out Klitschko and Biggs on the same night.

I doubt any of them would take a fight with prime Liston but if they did it would end badly for them

Against Lennox Lewis, Liston goes the way of Razor Ruddock.

Sonny Liston stops Riddick Bowe in the 9th round.

Sonny Liston stops Wlad in round 4.

Sonny Liston KOd BY LL in the 5th round.

Sonny Liston stops Tyrell Biggs in round 4.

Aganst Bowe: very hard to say. 50/50 fight for me. But if the fight goes past 6 rounds, Bowe would stop Liston late IMO
Against Lewis: Liston by KO - Lennox went life and death against inactive and overweight Ray Mercer. Liston was much better than Mercer in every aspect of the game except of chin. Lennox was so vulnerable to jabs that 6'1'' Mercer outjabbed him. Liston was the same height as Mercer but had much, much longer (7 inches!!!) reach and better jab
Against Wlad: Liston by KO - Wlad also was vulnerable to jabs. Even shot Mercer marked his face. Pulev rocked him with a jab in the first round
Against Biggs: Liston by early KO

The Lewis that fought Ruddock would get splattered by Liston.

Lewis between 1996 - 2001 would have been a much tougher proposition for Sonny.

I just don't understand why people got Lennox Lewis in high regards here. I don't think he was that good to begin with. He had too many technical deficiencies is not even funny. I pick the great Sonny Liston, especially the 1958-60 version, to destroy any version of The Lion.

The only fellow in that group to give Sonny trouble is Riddick Bowe. Especially, the one that had the first thrilling war with the great Evander Holyfield.

You guys are not thinking. Klitschko would be too big and strong for Liston who was knocked out by 196-pound Leotis Martin and beaten by 180-pound Marty Marshall.. A better matchup would be Alexander Povetkin who would only have 10 to 15 pounds on Liston.. a better matchup.. but I think Povetkin would easily outbox Liston like he did the much bigger Carlos Takam.

Liston would have a chance to beat the big, fat, cowardly Bowe like Holyfield beat him -- with the jab.. An unknown Kickboxer was the latest guy to beat the crap out of Bowe and leave him a wreck on the canvas.. Tyrell Biggs would be gone in 7 or 8 rounds, he was beaten up and stopped so often, even by Bowe... Liston would have a lottery shot chance at Lewis's chin like Rahman had...but Lewis would probably destroy the much smaller 6'1" X 215 Liston with his jab and physical strength.

I think Saad's take on the Riddick Bowe fight sounds about right.

I think Lennox could win a decision against Liston if he fought the perfect fight, but I'd be leaning toward Liston to win by KO at some point along the way. Inside 6 rounds.

Liston would flatten Wlad and Biggs both in less than 4 or 5 rounds.

The only fighter that I see on that list that was the great Sonny Liston's quality was Riddick Bowe at his very best. It could go either way.

The others? They are not beating Liston.

Riddick Bowe was far too easy to hit.

He'd get wrecked as Liston was much more powerful than anyone he faced.

Liston was a different animal to any these guys faced, I doubt any of them would fight him in his prime.
