Artur Beterbiev vs. Isidro Ranoni Prieto on Dec 23
It's good to see Beterbiev will be active in December, but I'm disappointed in the choice of opponent.
I'm sure Gym could have found someone better.![[icon_neutral.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif)

Haymon is doing a great job letting Beterbiev to get old without arranging good fights for him.

He's 31. He's still got time.boxing_rocks wrote:Haymon is doing a great job letting Beterbiev to get old without arranging good fights for him.

I think Prieto is a better opponent than Sullivan Barrera who was originally being discussed as the potential opponent for Beterbiev. For what that's worth. I personally think Beterbiev is ready for the best the division has to offer though. Since he's a PBC fighter I don't understand why Haymon isn't try to put a Stevenson vs Beterbiev match together.

Yea given his amateur experience and pro streak he should be propelled like recent fighter lomachenko and Usyk. I'm sure he'd be happy and ready. If not, PBC are ruining him.

Watching the LHW division without Stevenson Kovalev and Bertebiev fighting each other is like watching a porno when a plumber knocks on a really hot MILFs door then proceeds to spend ages looking at the problem then actually fixing the pipework . Completely pointless. Props to Ward for finally making it remotely interesting, but Kovalev and Stevenson have been top boys after winning titles in 2013 and I've been sat with my dick in my hand watching the equivalent of a man with a spanner tightening a U-bend ever since.
Stevenson is 39 now, a tough and grizzled 39 years he's had too. If Kovalev waits for him to get any older he won't have to KO him just get him to sit on a beanbag . Any older and no way will he get out of one before a 10 count.

Good analogy mate. MW, LHW and HW are stuck in this blue balls state. I just hope that there's a pearl necklace at the end of the rainbow.Wales wrote:Watching the LHW division without Stevenson Kovalev and Bertebiev fighting each other is like watching a porno when a plumber knocks on a really hot MILFs door then proceeds to spend ages looking at the problem then actually fixing the pipework . This is his best opponent since Campillo, as embarrassing a fact as that is.
I wonder if the financial decline of the PBC is causing some of these crappy matchups. I don't understand why we couldn't at least get something like Beterbiev/Fonfara considering all the talent that is still under Haymon's control.

Are his fighters getting more exposure and $$$ than other fighters. Isn't that the objective of prize fighting?gilgamesh wrote:What else is new? Haymon is mismanaging all of his guys.boxing_rocks wrote:Yes, he is, but Haymon is mismanaging him.gilgamesh wrote:

I d like to say just like you and go for the Pbc argument but I don't think its them.
The new era is shit because all the up and comer are afraid to lose so no ones will give Beterbiev s a shot. PBc helped him out getting some decent fight but after everyone saw what was going on they all backed up.
And now the Champions can play the game if he beat nobody so let him beat 2-3 more guys and we ll see. Thats bullshit.
Kudos to Prieto for taking on the challenge.

They're getting more money because it's stolen from investors yes. They're not getting much more exposure and even if they are when you get exposure in mismatches your name isn't exactly gonna stand out in people's minds.scallum2015 wrote:Are his fighters getting more exposure and $$$ than other fighters. if they wanna match Artur against this type of opposition, he need to fight 10x per year
