MGM Scotland show Saturday now to be shown live on allegedly
Decent bit of bonus domestic action
Thain v Brough is a well matched fight and David Brophy return agains tKelvin Young, show also features Stephen Simmons and Josh Leather.
Stephen Ormond's also on it according to boxrec but he'll probably fail to make weight or something.

Mikey Towell vs Dale Evans British eliminator is being shown thursday night at 10 on STV Glasgow but not on any other STV stations
Gutted i thought there would be more chance of it being shown on STV around my way

Didn't know that. I'll watch that. What STV station do you get? The Edinburgh one? Must be a way to watch online surely?handsofstone wrote:Mikey Towell vs Dale Evans British eliminator is being shown thursday night at 10 on STV Glasgow but not on any other STV stations![]()

If you have sky you can add STV Glasgow.. You get instructions if you search through googlehandsofstone wrote:Im not sure exactly Stu,it just says STV on my box mate, when it was 1st announced last month that this would be shown on TV,it said it would be on both STV Glasgow and Edinburgh but i seen the advert last night and it just said Glasgow so im not sureStuarty30 wrote:Didn't know that. Depending where you live in Scotland, and if you have SKY, you might be able to add the channel. I can give you more info if you need it. I was able to add it recently and I'm about 40 miles East of Glasgow.handsofstone wrote:Mikey Towell vs Dale Evans British eliminator is being shown thursday night at 10 on STV Glasgow but not on any other STV stations![]()

Alternatively the fight should be available to stream through the STV website. I'll make some enquiries and will come back later.

Jeezo ,Ormond stopped by a left hook downstairs in the 5th by Szabo,he'd recovered well after the earlier KD and there was nothing to suggest it was nothing other than a fluke coz he regained his usual pressing style but he just got creased ,that was a superb shot

Re: MGM Scotland show Saturday now to be shown live on allegedly
Just a pretty meh card which is just typical of Scottish boxing TBH,we got a great platform on allegedly with a load of local talent and pretty poor promoting,i was speaking to JamieM earlier(not about this card) but i was talking about our promoters/managers putting all their eggs in 1 basket and they done the same tonight, ive seen the posters for weeks about this show but never really knew who was headlining,i assumed it was Simmons because he was the main fighter on the poster despite having no real opponent confirmed unless im mistaking,i know Buchholz was a late replacement ,who was beat like so, but if he was the late opponent then who was the early one?
Thain/Brough should have been billed as the headline act from the off if Simmons had no proper fight in place, fair do's it wasnt a classic but if you are trying to attract casuals then let the punters know who's fighting, especially if its your 1st show on TV,push the boat out FFS,its not all about the casuals, the real fans are the bloodline of the sport but promoters need to get the balance right
Ive no doubt Mike Towell's passing played a part in the atmosphere tonight but im pretty sure Simmons easy KO win wont make Buncey,Jones,Lillis and Rawling eager to come back
Boxing only requires 2 competitors,at least make both of them known beforehand

I was at this card last night in Bellahouston. Bagged a free ticket (my mate knows a coach) but had I forked out the faceprice of £40 i wouldn't have been amused.

99-91 to Thain was an awful score card

i watched the card and enjoyed it, hungarian doing someone and two lads with decent records in the main event is good enough for me. saved me having to communicate with the wife too. was a welcome relieft after all the fights that have fallen through recently.
Re: MGM Scotland show Saturday now to be shown live on allegedly
I quite enjoyed the show overall agree Thain/Brough should have been billed as the main event.
Watched this one live then fast forwarded through all the crap talking on the Sky show and watched just the boxing (which didn't take long!) after.
