Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
It's been announced on Sky Sports from his Twitter feed. I think there will be plenty of press releases to follow.

Has he ever retired before? The combination of his pending drug offences x2, his depression, his view that he's not appreciated and his idiotic remarks have appeared to have nailed his coffin. If he's stripped, which he will be and a ban, I doubt we will see him again for a few years.
What an awful champion, but it's a pity, as I'd like to see what had happened with the Wlad rematch.
Re: Fury Retires
He says that boxing is the saddest thing he ever participated in. Compared to what? His PhD in nuclear physics?
He then tells people to go do something that many women and gay men do. You can either go figure that out or go look it up.
Real class act-not. Don't remember Lennox Lewis or Frank Bruno talking like this, but then those 2 gentlemen didn't have Jesus to guide them.

I didn't know about this, but I probably stopped reading after the 1,000,000% comment.zorndeslammes wrote:2013: http://metro.co.uk/2013/11/20/tyson-fur ... l-4195006/Loki wrote:Ricky_ wrote:Again? I've lost count.

..I wish him good health and...good riddance..
Re: Fury Retires
Once he and his wife sniff through all the money he made in the first Klitschko fight, he'll be back.

@Tyson_Fury: Hahahaha u think you will get rid of the GYPSYKING that easy!!! I'm here to stay. #TheGreatest just shows u what the Medea are like. Tut tut
Re: Fury Retires
The problem is he has two basstard sociopaths as mentors in his family. Their aggression, problem with rules and authority, unreasonability to live within normal society (whether that be any religion, western or eastern or a secular environment) has caused this.Loki wrote:Ricky_ wrote:Again? Fury was cheating and hes caught so he does what he does best act aggressively and talk like a dumb ccuunt to think I defended this guy.
he's a misraeble ungrateful ccunt just like his dad and uncle.
Its a shame he tainted the linear title, now wlad wont have the same glisten to his legacy but wlad v Joshua, and haye v wilder with parker and luiz Ortiz waiting for the winners aint bad
Re: Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
his behaviour with lennox lewis showed what a disrespectful unhinged oddball he truly is.
Re: Fury Retires
I agree, whilst Wlad, Vitali and Lennox were somewhat boring, at least they are true champions. I've seen more class in Deliverance.Bricks wrote:The problem is he has two basstard sociopaths as mentors in his family. He's always been like this and you guys found it entertaining until he turned it on you.
Kinda like the WWE ...

Re: Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
I'd be amazed if he doesn't come back.
He'll say this time he REALLY found Jesus. These guys are so damn predictable.
He won't be able to make a living thru advertising endorsements because of his foul mouth. I don't care about his foul mouth but executives sure as hell won't pay him to endorse their products.
When the blow is all gone and Paris leaves him......
He'll Be Back !

Re: Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
Tyson Fury claimed that:
• He’d retire if he couldn’t beat Steve Cunningham
• He was ‘one million percent retired’ after David Haye withdrew from their bout
• He’d retire if Wladimir Klitschko beat him during their first fight
• He may never fight again shortly after claiming Wladimir’s world titles
• He’d retire immediately after the Klitschko rematch
• He was retired shortly after being tested positive by VADA with cocaine and the announcement of his so-called mental health issues
It’s safe to say that Fury will be announcing his inevitable return to the ring before the end of 2017.
For whatever reason, he seemed very reluctant to engage in a rematch against Wladimir Klitschko… and we know for certain that Team Fury threatened to withdraw from the bout due to their insistence to renegotiate the fight contracts that had already been agreed.
It seems that Fury has got his own way, because he is no longer obliged to fight Klitschko, especially if the Ukrainian loses to Anthony Joshua or one of the other heavyweights, before Tyson announces his ring return.
EDIT: The árse is back again!

Any guess as to why he didn't want to fight Wlad?Enlightened-One wrote:Tyson Fury claimed that:

Re: Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
It could have been contractual, maybe (as the challenger) his team had agreed to terms that they subsequently regretted.Loki wrote:Any guess as to why he didn't want to fight Wlad?Enlightened-One wrote:Tyson Fury claimed that:

I’m not sure if he ducked Klitschko out of fear though, but he did clearly admit that he may lose the rematch against Wladimir when interviewed by IFL TV, but perhaps he was trying to sell the fight by adding intrigue or teasing those fans that desperately wanted to see him lose.
Maybe Fury is thinking he’d earn more money facing Joshua than engaging in a contractually-obliged rematch with Klitschko (based on terms he’d agreed to prior to winning his world titles), especially if he isn’t 100% confident about his own ability to defeat the Ukrainian for a second time.
Re: Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
I don't buy that; he'd get a career best payday (he got £5m) from first fight (I think) plus it was in Manchester. Doesn't make sense. Something was wrong with the first bout (apart from it being a snoozer until the last round). Klitschko was so bad, hardly threw a punch.Enlightened-One wrote:It could have been contractual, maybe as the challenger his team had agreed to terms that they subsequently regretted.Loki wrote:Any guess as to why he didn't want to fight Wlad?Enlightened-One wrote:Tyson Fury claimed that:

It probably was due to the terms of the rematch.
Re: Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
Cocaine, depression and etc... Sad news from a great boxer with great future in the sport...
Just as many boxers with non stable mental health, what you would expect from a joker guy like him? Who was always trying to call attention to himself? It was obvious that as soon as he had a great victory, he would become more asshole like he was, that the "fame" would raise into his head.
Psychologically speaking, this kind of behavior is of an empty and lonely person that think that has too many fans and friends until the money and fame is over, like Thomas Hearns, Riddick Bowe and Mike Tyson. Beyond Fury, Broner and Mayweather are good candidates examples of next in the line, lets just wait when nobody cares more and money is over, they will have the fate of those quoted before and/or surely will fall into depression (if they are not already) or maybe worse to commit suicide, sadly as Randolph Turpin or Alexis Argüello did...
In a world centered on getting money (and fame if possible, independent of fame scale), it is forgotten how important is a stable minded and informed person (in sports too) is needed, and especially a violent one like boxing (that has predominance of poor and low educated individuals) to don't fall in hand of profiteers in self-interested to then have a tragic fate.

Re: Fury Retires (for 2 hours)....
You can say whatever you want, but he and Rocky Marciano are the only heavyweight champions to retire 100% undefeated.
Because of that he will become a legend in the bookies, and in a few years people will act like he was already planning to retire from Klitschko of because after winning against all good competition he simply had nothing left to proof.
