NEW SEASON:

Post by Crease »

Announcement

The new season will begin on Friday 14th October - when the Draft will begin...

Following open and frank discussions between the three Commissioners;
armageto wrote:If you have 2 weight classes, you are guaranteed to get a good fighter who could be in the championship mix.
I vote two weight divisions.
Crease wrote:if there's one division that would have the talent pool to cover 10 Managers + 3 options = 30 fighters then it is definitely the Middleweight division. That amount of talent in that division over the span of 125 years, should be enough to keep us all intrigued.
Fist of Legend wrote:what if we combine 154-160? that should give people plenty of options to have a good stable.
There has been common-ground found and as such it has been decided that next season will be a double-weight class (as most of you have been asking for) which will encompass the Middleweight & Light Middleweight divisions (as Mr Fist suggested).

We shall call it a Middleweight season (seeing as most of the better 154 lb fighters eventually moved up in weight class to challenge the Middles)

Over the next 48 hours I am going to draw up 2 Fighter Lists for both weight classes... Same as before.

Please confirm your participation on this thread, and you will be included for the draft.

Well I'm definitely in.

And VERY excited about competing with the Middleweights this time around. Probably the most talent-laden division of them all.

I'm in though I gotta say if we're gonna do the 2 weight classes thing again I'd rather do it where there's actual consequences to moving up and facing bigger fighters. It can be done, but you're taking a challenge and a risk...like in real life when guys move up to face bigger fighters. Making it P4P where the size advantage just fades away completely I don't care for because it's too subjective where guys belong P4P.

Sorry for the short delay gentlemen, i've been bust over the weekend.

Things will be updated over the next couple of days.

PS - if any of you have spate time on your hands & want to assist with the HOF nominations, then please complete the records for your fighters.

I see that a few of you still haven't.

And with the inclusion of Mr Fist, that will bring back our 10 compatriots from last season, plus an old member who has renewed his application (Mr P4P1)

Happy days. It looks like 33 fighters will be picked up then.

COMMISH NOTICE:

So we've got 4 Hall of Fame nominations threads, these threads will remain sticked to the top of the page for a few days just until we get the new season up and underway.

All ten managers from last year are encouraged to have their say on each of the threads, who does and does not enter the Hall really is up to you...

I believe as a judge fights you're not allowed to manage a stable, even in the sim world it reeks of corruption. I believe that your friends in the sim judging world will give your fighters fights that they've lost, it will be like fighting in Germany against the home town hero for any man who steps foot in the ring with your guys. I moved from Perth to Jamaica to get away from corruption, I just can't believe after a few short months it's followed me here to the sim world.
