Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
This Lewison guy is fat.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Decent 1st round for Lewison. With that body though he surely isn't going to have stamina worth a damn. Whyte is probably pacing himself knowing Lewison will likely be pretty gassed by about Round 4 or 5.
1-0 Lewison
1-0 Lewison
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Whyte ups the aggression in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and is landing good shots to the head and body on Lewison now. Lewison is already looking lethargic in there.
2-1 Whyte
2-1 Whyte
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Whyte is being patient, using his jab steadily and landing it with regularity on Lewison and also the occasional quick left hooks here and there. Lewison's pace has already slowed to the point where outside of a puncher's chance he's not really in this fight anymore.
4-1 Whyte
4-1 Whyte
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Still all Whyte. He's being a bit more aggressive now trying to get Lewison out of there and has controlled the last 2 rounds even more thoroughly than he'd controlled the previous 4.
6-1 Whyte
6-1 Whyte
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Whyte vs Price could be an entertaining fight.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Another 2 rounds for Whyte. He's really landing a lot of devastating rights to the body on Lewison. I'm surprised Lewison has taken everything he's taken from Whyte as well as he has. Lewison needs a KO to win at this point.
8-1 Whyte
8-1 Whyte

Predictable. Whyte is shyte.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Lewison's corner stops it at the conclusion of the 10th round, Lewison looks like he most likely got his nose broken there in that 10th round, and I figure that along with being so far behind on the scorecards was enough for his trainer to call it a night. Smart choice.

He's a decent fighter. Top 20 or so. I doubt he ever becomes a World Champion, but he's a respectable contender.Fearful_Freddie wrote:Predictable. Whyte is shyte.

I would like to see Whyte fight a decent fighter who has had a full camp. Allen & Lewison both took the fight on short enough notice.

Top 20 just for the good round against AJ? Who is the best guy he's beaten?gilgamesh wrote:He's a decent fighter. Top 20 or so. I doubt he ever becomes a World Champion, but he's a respectable contender.Fearful_Freddie wrote:Predictable. Whyte is shyte.

If Chisora or Price are next they'd both be interesting opponents. I doubt Price would fight him though. Price seems to be going the Briggs route of fighting as many no hopers as he can until somebody just throws him a bone and gives him a payday.brian13 wrote:I would like to see Whyte fight a decent fighter who has had a full camp. Depends what Chisora shows up.rd350lc wrote:think Whyte does a number on Chisora if it happens .

Chisora would put in a similar performance to Lewison , who despite being gutsy was soundly beaten .gilgamesh wrote:Yeprd350lc wrote:think Whyte does a number on Chisora if it happens .

As far as rankings, I think think the following should be above him, and I could list more:gilgamesh wrote:Name me 20 better Heavyweights.crusader wrote:Top 20 just for the good round against AJ? Who is the best guy he's beaten?gilgamesh wrote:

Maybe he's got more ability than some of these guys and would beat them, but who knows. He's laboring even against fat, weak, area-level opposition like Allen and Lewison, and has never beaten anyone in the top 75. I can't recall the last time a guy like that got more credit than Whyte is getting now.
But he beat Parker's leftovers faster than Parker did! Although never mind things like Chisora taking 29 seconds to halt a guy who went 4 with Whyte, or Gerber finishing off Minto before Whyte could.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
You've got a fair list and a fair point there. I actually looked and noticed I actually didn't have Whyte in my Top 20 at the moment either
He's Top 30 though surely. I'd like to see him against the likes of Fedosov and Mansour.

Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Ya, I'd like to see him in with pretty much anyone from that list. He may well be as good as a lot of people think, but to me it's not one of those cases where a guy is obviously way better than his resume.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
He's not "shyte", but I'm pretty sure there are atleast 20 heavyweights that should be ranked ahead of him.gilgamesh wrote:He's a decent fighter. Top 20 or so. I doubt he ever becomes a World Champion, but he's a respectable contender.Fearful_Freddie wrote:Predictable. Whyte is shyte.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Ian Lewison - October 7th 2016
Whyte is a rapidly improving fighter who would now beat Price and Chisora. Lewison is a much better fighter than many are giving him credit for he can come again but must be a lot fitter and lighter if he is to challenge for serious belts.
