Focus pads for big hands

Post by m1kee50 »

My hands arent so wide but they are quite long, and i'm wondering what brand of focus pad would best fit my hand, I'm sometimes getting my fingers caught when fighters throw shots but if I move my hand down the pad i dont feel like i have proper hold of it, like it might fly off.

any tips?

If you are using mitts on a regular basis, my suggestion would be to to get a pair custom made. This might be expensive compared to the standard offerings but you will not regret it.

Thanks for the reply. at the minute im using a pair of everlast ones that seem to be a nice size, i havent caught my fingers in them yet. I'm also using paddles a lot more to simulate countering

Hello...
No problem if your hand are long and you are not feeling well while wearing focus pads...I recommend you to buy RDX Focus pads...As RDX Sports provide a large range of gears with different sizes...So please visit RDX sports...

I actually picked up a pair of RDX ones a little while ago and I'm finding them very good, I have recommended them to my co-coach.

Probably a bit late to recommend any but brand wise i'd recommend Farabi fight gear, you can find them on Amazon fairly easily and it's a fairly good range depending on what you're looking for.

Just replaced my old Everlast pads and for the first session with them this week they feel great to wear and great to use, plenty of padding to protect your hands and wrists but not so tight around your hands that they become a struggle to take off when the pad work is over, cost isn't that bad either and free shipping on orders over £20, needless to say I am grateful for that free postage with what I've ordered from them this year.

Custom mate is a good idea, that Muay Thai brand Twins done good pads as well I thought

I got on with Ringside and Reebok pads too
