I don't know the Fury family but a lot of travellers I know would have serious problems with the rats. Some don't even like the word being said.
Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
My initial thought was this'd be terrible for someone with his issues, though thinking about it it would give him time to get away from everything and clear his head. As long as he didn't say anything too controversal and get more egative attention.
Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
It's hard to take his "issues" seriously if he ends up doing this. On the flipside however it might improve public perception of him which would be beneficial. Then again it could make public perception of him even worse or atleast cement the negative perceptions people have of him.
That in turn could exacerbate his mental health issues rather than help them.

Outside boxing no one will know who he is. He's not a public celeb as such and I doubt he is well known around the world either. On the otherside if he has had drug issues and tested pos and has a current medical history of mental illness he's hardly likely to be considered as wasn't Paul GasgoineRexob wrote:Supposedly been made a big offer to appear in the show.

He's extremely well known. Had the back 3 pages of The Sun on the day before an England game this week. This scandal could make him if he plays it right, which he won't!mimmy123 wrote:Outside boxing no one will know who he is. My mum has never heard of him and I doubt my mum in law has either. Of course hes got a name around the media but Im not too confident in saying hes a well known celebrity and I would think you show a photo of his face only, many many older people wouldnt know who it was.mickey1975 wrote:He's extremely well known. Who would they know? And they're not in the 18-40 group the advertisers love.

He could probably do with it in fairness, while I'm assured by someone close to Fury that his coke use is nowhere near and addiction, I still think he needs to get away from temptation.
I've always said Fury would be the world champion and now he's climbed the mountain, he's turning into a gypsy George Best. It's heartbreaking really. He'll be able to tell his grandkids about how he beat the man and then pissed it all away.

Exactly, he's a household name compared to some of the people on the show normally. Not that I watch it of course.mickey1975 wrote:Who would they know? And they're not in the 18-40 group the advertisers love.

I think he would go down a storm, Fury is a funny guy and would be popular with other contestants at least
Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
It's a moronic thing to do. If his mental health problems are genuine then his inevitable on screen melt down is hardly going to be helpful for the poor bloke. Plus it's not like the Evil Jew Press have been making up all the stupid stuff Fury has said, so anybody thinking it might be good PR for Fury and the public will just see that he's a nice, funny bloke are clutching at straws. He is going to come out with something mental and get absolutely Jade Goodied. They'll nail him to the f*cking wall.
I think it's a joke anyway, isn't it?

Don't people who go into this programme and Big Brother etc. get seen by psychologists beforehand?
If he is suffering from genuine mental health issues then surely it would be unlikely that he would be allowed to take part.

He would play the big oaf, sing a few sounds and be a laugh for the first hour.Rexob wrote:I think he would go down a storm, Fury is a funny guy and would be popular with other contestants at least
Then, he would either get bored quickly or if somebody disagreed with him or something didn't go his way he would implode.
His "advisers" need to keep him well away from the whole reality TV scene

I fury genuinely is mentally ill, then it would be completely irresponsible to put him on the show, if that happens, then I've lost all respect for Fury and his family, because either it means they were lying, or they are complete eedjits, either way, I'm not really interested in following him if he appears in the show.

They're known as Longtails here, you don't say the "R" word.mickey1975 wrote:I don't know the Fury family but a lot of travellers I know would have serious problems with the rats. Some don't even like the word being said.
Re: Tyson Fury set for I'm A Celeb.
If his mental health issues are so serious that he has considered taking his life, had to pull out of a fight, resorted to coke the last place he needs to be is in a pressure cooker like the jungle.
He will be surrounded by people who may have seen his views, in a situation with little food, lots of pressure to earn it and be at the whim of the public. Show yourself as a fanny in the tasks and you'll be doing them daily, get caught bullying someone and you'll be out sooner than you think. So if he thinks the public didn't give him credit for his win, the jungle won't change it.
He needs to be away from the spotlight with family, friends(real ones not hangers on) and professionals.
If he wants advice on the jungle ask David haye

I think Fury noshing a massive penis during a bush tucker trial would repair his relations with the gay community.

Haye came across ok enough on it. It's probably a bad idea for Tyson this. He must eat like a frickin horse and they'll be on rations! He'll end up losing the plot!

ITV getting on the boxing got anything to do with this ?
