I've proven my point long before you jumped in to back up your "mates". Anyone who would be bothered to look back one page can see that. Hatton-Tszyu is such a touchy subject on the British forum. It's like taboo to have any opinion on this fight at all. Here, we should all think exactly alike. Or be lynched. Hatton had luck on his side that night in Manchester.

I don't think the lowblows had anything to do with the fight being won or lost by Tszyu. To me, it seemed to be more on the fact that Tszyu had always been a KO guy. However, aging KO guys tend to have a power shortage late in their careers, and he just happened to hit the wall vs Hatton. Add the fact he went to Ricky's backyard, and had to go into the lion's den and face a rowdy English crowd, it really has to wear on a fighter. Hatton did get away with holding and hitting, and hitting behind the head, but Tszyu was hitting a bit lower than necessary on more than 1 occasion. It basically came down to the fact Ricky took the fight to an older, aging fighter who couldn't with stand it anymore. Tszyu was no spring chicken when he lost, and has nothing to be ashamed about.

The only thing you've proven is

1 You know shit all about refereeing of fights.
2 You have an extreme dislike for Ricky Hatton.

but in your posts you go on about scores and point deductions, which are all irrelevant I. How was Tzyu's corner not wanting him to continue luck? Hatton fought a tought tough fight against a top opponent, you just want to cheapen it for both of them. Then again you are so rabidly anti-hatton (and pro PBF from your other posts, Castillo beat him, no stoppage no not coming out, points discussion he should have won) you would not be able to see that.

1 point for the intentional low-blow. And an additional 1-3 points for the "low-blow" which was a KD. (From a 10-9 to a 10-8 round or a 9-10 to a 10-8 round). One point is enough to swing the result of a close fight, what more is 2-4 points. In a 12 round fight, that's a point each for a third of the entire fight.

The amount of arguably illegal holding which sapped much of the strength of an old Tszyu.Out of all the referees in the world, it just happened to be one of either Dave Parris or Mickey Vann. What are the chances of that happening (unless there were specific external factors that influenced the selection).

Luck had something to do with those factors which Tszyu had absolutely no control over. Unless ofcourse you're suggesting that someone was paid off and all those circumstances were orchestrated to give Hatton a better shot at beating the 35 year-old Tszyu in Manchester. I would never assume something like that without any proof, would you?

Not to mention the damage caused by the hard intentional low-blow from Hatton. That was a serious shot way below the beltline, those don't just go away, they stay with you. In my opinion, Hatton's fighting style and relentlessness/bodyshots was a major factor in Tszyu quitting, but so were the aforementioned details of the match.

Actually, I feel Castillo beat Mayweather in the first fight. You're assuming.

quoting yourself doesn't really help your argument, it's like having a tiny cock and photocopying it thousands of times, it's no more impressive the thousandth time than the first.

It's hilarious that I'm being tagged as "anti-Hatton" even when I clearly stated, underlined, re-posted that it was his style and bodyshots that made Tszyu quit. But if he didn't have all those situations go his way, things possibly would have been different. It's the staunch pro-Hatton British forum lynch mob once again. Like the often squabbling schoolmates who become bestfriends whenever someone has any kind of different opinion. Let's all think the same! So sensitive that it's almost... gay.

Good post. Props to Tszyu for nearly beating the Mancunian at his own game. I always thought he was a good fighter but I never was a fan until I saw all the crap he had to go through in this fight.

Well if your point isn't your usual "Tzyu was past it, Hatton was lucky" stuff, then what is your point? That despite Hatton defeating Tzsyu with no ambiguity and it being down to himself, it was actually none of that and just bad luck? Sounds like a contradiction to me. Or is your point just that other things happened that had little or no bearing on the fight?

Incorrect, it's your assertion that the referee should have docked a point for the low blow (whilst ignoring Tszyu's own of course) that I am taking issue with.

You continually bang on about how Hatton's single low blow was shameful, as if it were some sort of blot on the sport. Anyone who watches a lot of boxing knows it was nothing of the sort.

I agree with you, James. That low-blow was a shining moment in the sport of boxing. The highlight of Hatton's career in fact. :TU:

Your pathetic sarcastic remarks are just a feeble attempt to disguise the fact that you don't know what you're talking about, and they aren't fooling anyone.

I guess Tszyu's low blows were all accidental then? I mean, after all, it's not like he was famed for his accurate and deadly punching is it?

I think I had PBF winning 4 & 5 easily - Castillo said he'd try not to give away the first 5 rounds AGAIN in the rematch. I'd also have PBF winning a few other rounds

James that low blow was a disgrace. Theres little fouls and blatant horrible fouls. That 1 worse than Titos against Vargas and Golotas imo because he actually lunged into it as a full hearted powerpunch to the actual balls - not just low but targeting and powerpunching the balls - pure high pitched stuff. It was a clear point deduction if ever there was 1. And Zoos allededgly low blows were both borderline and none intentional.

I think Hatton would have win without that low blow but it was a disgrace. Zoo had to expect a bit of the hometown stuff going to Manchester though.

I think James' point is that it is hypocritical to focus on Hatton's blatent low blows after Tszyu threw quite a few, and it would be obtuse to suggest they were accidental.

Why are you so concerned with my existence? I must have struck a nerve with you, too.

But hey, since this is the British forum, let's all think exactly alike... When in Rome, I guess.
