Joe Calzaghe:

Accolades:
The original Lonsdale Champion (week 19).
First man to unify titles this season.
Held all four World Titles.

Belts:
x3 time IBF World Champion (week 7- original World Champion, 16 & 38)
x2 time WBA World Champion (weeks 19, 38)
x1 time WBC World Champion (week 38)
x1 time WBO World Champion (week 38)
x2 time Lonsdale Champion (weeks 19, 38)

- Never ranked low enough to contest the minor titles which is undoubtedly a further testament to Joe's legacy

Another excellent fighter, but falls just short of HoF status for me.

If Calzaghe's a Hall of Famer than Froch the man that beat him twice is a Hall of Famer. Since none of you believe Froch is a Hall of Famer, Calzaghe isn't one either.

No

Would like to note week 3 Hearns, Week 29 Froch, and Week 39 Leonard were all fights Joe was leading in by a few rounds then the fights were stopped with a broken hand I believe all three times. Granted it's a loss, but just the oddity of the Sim. 2 losses were by SD or MD. That is 5 out of his 8 losses being debatable.

Super six guys fought:

Holyfield 2 times, 2 draws. Thought he really won one.
Ward 4 times. 2 decision wins, a technical draw, and a decision loss.
Gomez 2 times. A stoppage win and a decision.
Jones 3 times. A decision win and two decision losses, one being close.
Leonard 2 times. A stoppage win and a stoppage loss due to a broken hand, while being up on the cards.

That is 13!!! fights out of his 40, being against the BEST competition. Over a 4th of his season.

The act is old now man. Froch avoided the silver six because he knew he couldn't even win that. Calzaghe was boxing his face off and broke his hand. Jirov was manhandling him and got cut. He avoided rematches with both of them.

I am slightly swayed by Armageto's above statements. But we at Don Krease Productions always prefer to vote 1 fighter in to the HOF per season, it makes the Hall all the more difficult to get in to.

With that said, we are looking at RJJ & Evander as the top 2 candidates... As such, we won't be voting Joe in on this occasion.

But we do applaud the fantastic season that he has had & the valour that he has shown in fighting the top-tier of competition (as Mr 'Geto already pointed out).

NO (sorry)

I vote no myself, although a great season. However, the only guy we feel should get in this season is Jones.

Act? Who's acting? Froch didn't enter the Silver Six because he knew he was Super 6 material.

There were 10 Managers last season.

6 of us have now voted NO - so even if the rest vote otherwise, the majority rules - so Mr Calzaghe will not be entering The Hall on this occasion.

Hell, I'm changing my vote to yes. If Holyfield looks to be getting in, Calzaghe is the same level as him.
