Golden Boy

I know it won't be the fight of the year, but the Golden Boy at Vegas on Cinco de Mayo was impossible to resist. Just shelled out 350 bucks for a ticket...

Hope to be there myself. I'm selling trips through my new company.
Someone should be on hand to console the latina lovlies in case Mayorga lands a haymaker.

It does seem a bit stage-managed. Like Mayorga is King's wind up toy doing his routine to pump up the PPV sales. Ricardo looks a little soft and i think none of this stuff has been genuine since before he retired. He only came out as King made him an offer he couldn't refuse against Trinidad and i reckon his just doing his part to earn his fat paycheck this time. He'll still put up a good fight like before but it's all about the money now - the crazyman who brutalised Forrest has been placated with riches.

Saying all that i have no problemt suspending my disbelief and letting myself get caught up in the fun.

I doubt Mayorga's insults would have been as vicious as they were, if it was something they'd agreed on beforehand.

That comment about ODH taking a dive v Hop is defintely not something Oscar would want to hear I think.

I reckon this is going to be a FOTY candidate. I know both guys are past their best, but there is just something about this one that I think will make it a really compelling and exciting fight.
