Ya, your memory must've been really selective, because pretty much no one was saying that.

Correct. What people were saying is that Barrera is a decent choice compared to Brand or Periban, a real LHW.crusader wrote:Ya, your memory must've been really selective, because pretty much no one was saying that.

Ward would never take this bout if he wasnt confident and a confident Ward is very very good. Dont write him off.

No, he is too heavy and slow. Rust also showed.

Re: Andre Ward Is Totally Past His Prime
He did a good fight and that's true, he turned the fight and evolved in such way round by round that was awesome to see, was like the movies (like Creed, a fair final movie result even with such great evolution of the fighter) and as was in Ward vs Kovalev fight but with no Kovalev winner.
We have to count that he fought the best and most powerful fighter of his career, his biggest test, even he does not accept that in capital letters. I think he was 80% of the Ward we saw some years ago. And with what he showed is enough to beat Chickenson and Cleverly. Gvozdyk and Storm are apart cases to think about it, but IMO he can beat them too.

I wish I could put every quote you have said about how past it Ward is, how slow, how rusty, etc. Also how bad Kovalev would walk through and KO Ward, but not worth my time. If Ward is that bad it means Kovalev is way, way, way, over-rated.boxing_rocks wrote:No, he is too heavy and slow. Rust also showed.
Its time for you and other Krusher nut huggers to admit that Ward is an elite fighter, and it was a close fight. Quit bitching like a bunch of sore losers and old women. I would have been ok with a draw, or close decision either way, but to say it was an outright robbery is stupid. Its almost like all the Manny Pacquiao retards have jumped on the Kovalev bandwagon, and are pretending Ward is Mayweather.

Yes, Kovalev somewhat disappointed. He won the fight, but he should've finished the hugger or at least kept schooling him after the 3rd.Badhusker wrote:I wish I could put every quote you have said about how past it Ward is, how slow, how rusty, etc. Also how bad Kovalev would walk through and KO Ward, but not worth my time. Boxingrocks and Freedom are 2 of the most miserable sacs I can ever recall on this board. Or any board.
