Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
I know that modern day boxing is primarily about making as much money as possible for the least amount of effort/risk. It looks that way at least.
After watching Bellew last night I started to feel like a paranoid Yank. I convinced myself that what we were witnessing was a WWE style storyline playing out in front of me, with the sole purpose of two boxers getting in the ring with each other for millions of pounds.
Haye has admitted that he is back for the money fights, Bellew has said that all that matters to him is to get home to his family and secure their future (fair enough)
They have fabricated a "beef" knowing that it will be a pay per view fight and will secure them both millions. These two used to be friends. So what happened? Bellew would have to go through 4 or 5 camps and win 4 or 5 fights (hard ones if he is to remain as a credible champ) for the same money he could make against his ex mate David Haye.
Haye is becoming irrelevant, fighting nodobies and with no proper TV deal (money deal). this fight will make Haye millions.
the whole Floes being a mate of Haye, Haye saying Flores would win easily and then acting surprised when Bellew beat him "Tony is better than I thought and he carries real power". Was this just a not so elaborate plan to allow Bellew to act like a total bellend and start his ringside rant at Haye? It was all pre planned.
Fast Car is in on the whole thing of course. he stands to make millions, another Froch v Groves. Fast car smiling like he was surprised.
Haye and Bellew as a fight in itself should be a non starter. Haye would knock him into next week if he is fit and ready. How can they package this in as anything other than the lowest form of insult to a boxing fan?
I had my doubts over the Haye v Audley fight. I am sure I saw Haye tell Audley "I`m going to do it now" just before he blew him away. Two old mates making a killing on PPV.
I wonder if I am a paranoid old fool who sees conspiracy where there is none? But I think this fight has been planned ever since Haye`s first comeback fight.
The build up will be a total joke, dragging boxing through the shatfield. Bellew has 3 kids and is no doubt a loving father, but his behaviour last night was pathetic and an embarrasment to the sport. A worse role model in boxing you would look hard to find.
It`s a money game and these two fellas (plus shat eating grin Fast car) will do very well out of contriving a rivalry that does not exist.

I'm with you on it.
It'll be dragged out for months if not longer. Haye will not drop to cruiser (can't really blame him) and Bellew won't give up his belts.
Cue countless "chance encounters" on Sky shows until such point that Bellew is able to move up whilst still retaining his belts for a huge payday on ppv that ultimately means fornicate all.
It was as staged as anything I've ever seen on a stage.

There's rarely ever any beef in professional boxing. I'm surprised fans fall for it over and over. They're all mates from the Ams. Its about building an event and getting paid.

There is building an event and there is pulling people`s pants down. This has to be a new low? I was pretty wasted by the end of that card last night, but through the haze I was left with a sickening feeling that boxing is the loser here and if it were not for my cast iron stomach, I would have thrown up. Simples as that.Stevieb8006 wrote:There's rarely ever any beef in professional boxing. I'm surprised fans fall for it over and over. They're all mates from the Ams. All it needed was for Eddie Hearn to hit Haye with a steel chair.

Jeez he wasnt THAT bad. What does he do that say, Derek chisora or dillian whyte doesn't? You could easily make a case for the world heavyweight champ being a worst role model, that's not exactly having to looking far.forcefraser wrote:Bellew has 3 kids and is no doubt a loving father, but his behaviour last night was pathetic and an embarrasment to the sport. Then there's broner assaulting people, insulting Mexicans and burning money. And Floyd hitting women.... You'd think bellew was the Antichrist when he only called someone spongebob square pants.
I could mention prince Patel as well, BJS talking about sons sucking off their own father's... Adonis Stevenson.... You really wouldn't have to look far.
Frankie Gavin bar room brawling....
Scott Harrison's crisp related high jinx....
With all the moaning on here I turned on sky expecting to see bellew raping Hayes dad on live TV... Everyone just seems permanently outraged about everything lately.

Seen worse. Its happened for years and years. It'll happen again, its just boxing. Ultimately, people don't have to buy a ppv. Vote with your feet. Its interesting that it all gets put on bellews and not Eddie. When fw was the top dog he used to get ripped for his involvementforcefraser wrote:There is building an event and there is pulling people`s pants down. This has to be a new low? Conspiricy or not, Haye vs Bellew is a mismatch the sport does not need, but as is the way with boxing, we are going to get it wether we want it or not, there's too much money in it for it not to happen. How you percieve the build up Is all about personal perception, if your a numnut you will lap up the hype and feed into the machine, if you have more than half of a functioning brain the endless hype feels like its getting rammed in your face and there's eff all you can do about it.
Is there any other sport gets raped as often as boxing?

How can there be so much money in it if the people don't want it? That doesn't make sense?ALI wrote:Conspiricy or not, Haye vs Bellew is a mismatch the sport does not need, but as is the way with boxing, we are going to get it wether we want it or not, there's too much money in it for it not to happen. There is something you can do, not buy the ppv. Its that simple.

Of course we don`t have to watch it, but not many people turn off the tv whilst they are already watching something happening.
You can`t tell me that Bellew hanging off the ropes screaming "you mother Fuucker" at Haye is good for the sport?
The blokes an arse of the highest order and the sooner he gets done and retires the better. All the talk about Lebedev and the other top boys after he beat Makubu and what does he do? Fight BJ Flores.
I hope he fights Anthony Joshua next to be fair. I hear Joshua once laughed at an Everton defeat and Blue Bomber took such umbrage with it he will smash him for it. Its as simples as dat.
Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
There is quite a large part of me that wants to see Haye smash The Boomer. I'd Kodi it definitely.
I don't really have too much issue with a cruiser weight champ stepping up to challenge at heavyweight. Haye is a small heavy who's a massive name so it makes sense. If Haye can pick up an easy title in the next 6 months then the fight just gets bigger and bigger. Adamek made similar moves up the divisions
Although I don't see a single advantage that Bellew might have over Haye and he looks like a knockout waiting to happen. The buildup will be painful to watch.

I`ll give Bellew his due, the guy can fight. Loves to get stuck in as well and his last couple of fights have been great for action.Lenny wrote:There is quite a large part of me that wants to see Haye smash The Boomer. I'd Kodi it definitely.

Problem for me is the way he talks and acts. He was a tool before, but after the film and the title win he has gone on to another level.
I have to stop watching his interviews, it just winds me up. allegedly sussed him out years ago. Ingrate was the word he used. Spot on from old fish eyes.

Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
I just don't see why it causes such outrage, its nothing we havent seen before. Its tiresome if anything. Guys like Michael Gomez used to do it and get labelled a warrior. Nigel benn called Jim watt a wanker on air and seemed to get a pat on the back. Don't see why bellew should be crucified tbh.forcefraser wrote:I have corrected your last sentence.Stevieb8006 wrote:How can there be so much money in it if the people don't want it? Look i'm not a fan of this fight, nor do I find bellew particularly entertaining. But you guys give them the exact response they want with the online outrage. The fights already sold.
Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
There was something very WWE about that 'beef' last night.
Bellew can clearly get himself wound up very quickly but it seemed very contrived to me, calling Haye sideshow Bob, going on about the hair etc, it seemed planned out and partially scripted.
It again seemed like a moment where Haye might run into the ring afterwards and smash a chair over Bellew's head and then gleefully taunt the fans. I almost wanted it to happen just to seal the panto deal.

Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
If Haye is fully fit, which still seems to be a big if, but if he is then it's just another Haye vs Maccarinelli and none of us really need to see a 1 or 2 round blowout of the gobby scouser. A pointless waste of time.Noxy wrote:I don't see Bellew vs Haye at all. It does nothing for me

Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
Panto season! Bellew works himself up in to a frenzy like my wee girl when she's not allowed a biscuit! It's a fight that I'd imagine will sell well. All my casual mates were texting our group chat thing last night and they were all jizzing their knickers! In reality I agree with Haye. It's an easy nights work for him. He should thank Bellew for his antics last night because he stands to get a hefty payday for an easy shift!
Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
They didn't need to try too hard to hold him back then did they.
Quite liked the way Haye tried to just grin back at him last night but you could see in his eyes he was fired up.
It all came down to camp Eddie's reaction. As soon as he said the fight has to happen then you know it was planned between the 3 of them and any rumours of Haye being an option for Joshua were wide of the mark.
He could have easily sat on the fence but he committed himself to making the fight

Wouldn't be surprised if Bellew & Haye went out for a drink after last nights fight. Celebrating their easy payday.
That's the 'problem' with casuals. They can be fvcking mongs at times! I have pals in whatsapp groups that were excited about it all last night.
Got Facebook pals sharing the video of Bellew taking the piss out of Haye's hair and saying how they can't wait for it! No mention of the actual fight itself!
Fair play to them both in a way. Not a fan of such bollocks though. Take that nonsense to WWE and the UFC/McGregor bullshit.
Both get their retirement funds topped up and Bellew gets his head knocked off ( assuming Haye is 50% of what he was )
There's literally a thousand more fights in the sport I'd rather see.

Hopefully it happens sooner rather than later, Haye irons him out and shuts the tedious prick up and we can move on.

It's all about earning that cash
