Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
I like the fight and don't see it as a foregone conclusion by any means.

, Bellends no different to all the others , nice enough fella but full of shite
He'll be loud , he'll talk shite , and with a bit of luck he'll talk himself into a million pound payday , don't let it bother you he's put the hard yards in , its a tough sport not many make a quid out of it , so good on them that do .. Myself personaly would i pay for it no way i'll stream it , but a lot will and if he brings the circus to town and others want to pay good on him .
If i want to watch good boxing that night , i'll put u tube on and watch Hagler - Sugar ray , if i want to watch a circus act , with fast Eddie in the background signing autographs i'll stream that fight

Assuming you're not deliberately trying to get a bite here can you go into detail as to how you see this scenario panning out then?Horse wrote:When Bomber sparks Haye clean out, a lot of people are going to be looking mighty silly.
Do you genuinely believe Bellew will knock Haye out?
Conventional wisdom would suggest that a world class fighter with a big punch at heavyweight would beat a guy who used to fight at light heavy, and a guy who's chin isn't the greatest.
I can't see past an early KO for Haye here.

Haye's win over Chisora was over 4.25 years ago now and nothing he has done since then proves that he is world class.
I don't think the idea of a big punching WBC cruiserweight champion knocking him out is so out there.

Was the Chisora fight really 4 years ago, where has that time gone.
It's a stupid fight yet I can't help but cheer Haye on, I find it highly annoying.

Like Chisora has ever been worldclass lol. Haye never won against any top contender in his entire life, just chertypick, that's it, his entire carreer. I wouldn't even be that surprised if he lost against this cruiserweight. I've actually said something similar ages ago.

Another nobody? Is that even a heavyweight at all? Or even a natural cruiserweight? I'm sorry, but such a win doesn't impress me, look at where else this guy lost against?nitro5912 wrote:So he didn't beat jean Marc mormeck?asdfjkl wrote:Like Chisora has ever been worldclass lol. Considering that he was a unified world champion at cruiserweight when hate went into his back yard, got put down and came back to stop. I would say he was a natural cruiser and it was an impressive win.asdfjkl wrote:Another nobody? Is that even a heavyweight at all? Or even a natural cruiserweight? As far as I know Haye proved to be about just as good as Adamek, or Cunningham, but indeed, he had the belts. I must admit with that that I don't know the details about the baby leagues, or the limited classes, or whatever they are called. It wasn't like Mormeck was some kind of superhuman with perfect stats and neither was Haye.nitro5912 wrote:Considering that he was a unified world champion at cruiserweight when hate went into his back yard, got put down and came back to stop. Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
I love the sport of boxing and have been involved at the sharp end for more than 30 years. But over the last 10 years I have pulled back and observed from afar and potential match ups like this is the reason why. I have a genuine love for grassroots boxing and have met some some great people but watching this Haye Vs Bellew crap unfold into a ppv event is a step too far. I like Bellew's attitude and very happy he's earning good money but i'm afraid this fight should not happen. Having said that it will sell and make a lot of money for all involved. Boxing is a business and this fight makes money. The biggest stumbling block will be at exactly what the contracted weight will be. Say what you want about Haye but one thing he can do punch very very hardforcefraser wrote:I know that modern day boxing is primarily about making as much money as possible for the least amount of effort/risk. It looks that way at least.
After watching Bellew last night I started to feel like a paranoid Yank. I convinced myself that what we were witnessing was a WWE style storyline playing out in front of me, with the sole purpose of two boxers getting in the ring with each other for millions of pounds.
Haye has admitted that he is back for the money fights, Bellew has said that all that matters to him is to get home to his family and secure their future (fair enough)
They have fabricated a "beef" knowing that it will be a pay per view fight and will secure them both millions. These two used to be friends. So what happened? Bellew would have to go through 4 or 5 camps and win 4 or 5 fights (hard ones if he is to remain as a credible champ) for the same money he could make against his ex mate David Haye.
Haye is becoming irrelevant, fighting nodobies and with no proper TV deal (money deal). this fight will make Haye millions.
the whole Floes being a mate of Haye, Haye saying Flores would win easily and then acting surprised when Bellew beat him "Tony is better than I thought and he carries real power". Was this just a not so elaborate plan to allow Bellew to act like a total bellend and start his ringside rant at Haye? It was all pre planned.
Fast Car is in on the whole thing of course. he stands to make millions, another Froch v Groves. Fast car smiling like he was surprised.
Haye and Bellew as a fight in itself should be a non starter. Haye would knock him into next week if he is fit and ready. How can they package this in as anything other than the lowest form of insult to a boxing fan?
I had my doubts over the Haye v Audley fight. I am sure I saw Haye tell Audley "I`m going to do it now" just before he blew him away. Two old mates making a killing on PPV.
I wonder if I am a paranoid old fool who sees conspiracy where there is none? But I think this fight has been planned ever since Haye`s first comeback fight.
The build up will be a total joke, dragging boxing through the shatfield. Bellew has 3 kids and is no doubt a loving father, but his behaviour last night was pathetic and an embarrasment to the sport. A worse role model in boxing you would look hard to find.
It`s a money game and these two fellas (plus shat eating grin Fast car) will do very well out of contriving a rivalry that does not exist.
Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
No, this is different. It was well over the top and anyone who knows about boxing will tell you even playing field Haye will take him out when he feel like it.Stevieb8006 wrote:Seen worse. you hit the nail on the head Stuarty30. The casual fan will lap this one up and they are the target audience. All those reality tv fans will love all the nonsense and boxing people will either be laughing at the circus or in despair at how low the sport has sunk. But it will sell. Its a winner for Haye because he gets another easy night's work and Bellew makes more money than he's ever seen before.Stuarty30 wrote:Panto season! All my casual mates were texting our group chat thing last night and they were all jizzing their knickers! In reality I agree with Haye. It's an easy nights work for him. He should thank Bellew for his antics last night because he stands to get a hefty payday for an easy shift!

This kind of thing has always happened in boxing, it's nothing new, supposed grudge fights that are totally one-sided, the difference being they were balanced out, by all the highly competitive matchups, with fighters taking on the best available challengers.Muttley wrote:you hit the nail on the head Stuarty30. This kind of circus is fine, provided the latter happens, but all too often, we get this kind of dross, and not the really important fights the sport needs to stay vital and relevant.
It will indeed sell, the casuals will tune in, to watch a complete spanking, but I do believe it's to the detriment of the sport as a whole.
UFC. That's all I have to say in closing.

100% right. Fact that it was in France with no TV exposure that I can recall doesn't mean people should ignore it. Was a massive achievement.PredatorHayds wrote:Hayes win over Mormeck is one be of the biggest wins the cruiserweight division has seen in the last 15 years.nitro5912 wrote:So he didn't beat jean Marc mormeck?asdfjkl wrote:Like Chisora has ever been worldclass lol. As for Haye v Bellew, not sure who I want more to lose. Most irritating thing will be when, after all the shouty hype, Bellew boxes off the back foot and 4.25 years after the Chisora fight (which could be something like 4.83296 years by the time Haye and Bellew step in the ring) Haye proves too slow to engage in any meaningful way after about 3 rounds. Could be a PPV snoozefest.

How have people not noticed that boxer's always pretend to hate each other to sell fights?
Re: Disgusting Conspiracy scam? Or real beef Bellew v Haye
Reading this thread, and I really don't understand what people are on.
Fighters always pretend to hate each other to sell fights. Always. People on this thread are acting like Haye and Bellew are doing it for the first time. They didn't invent the idea of hyping fights on the back of pretend hatred, it's been around in boxing for decades. It's tiresome, if anything.
What next? A thread complaining that the characters in Eastenders are portrayed by actors, and aren't real people?

No media exposure at all in the build up.
I'd say it's Hayes best win personally.
