My guess is Golovkin vs Heiland is more likely to happen

Post by apollo creed »

"Heiland has the full support of the WBC and he is a great guy. His baby was just born and he deserves the opportunity," Sulaiman said.

Let's be serious, Jacobs or Saunders won't be GGG's next opponents since both want purses of 3-4 mill. $.

If this fight takes place I'd be ok with it, it's a decent fight. :TU:

I believe Heiland is Top 10 in most rankings so we could do worse definitely, but I'd definitely prefer to see Jacobs or Saunders. We'll probably have to wait until next year for anything particularly exciting to happen with a lot of key fighters though.

Jorge Sebastian Heiland is only the WBC’s number one ranked challenger. He rated outside the top fifteen 160lb-ers by the WBA, IBF, WBO and outside the top ten of BoxRec, ESPN and The Ring’s ratings.

Of course, Golovkin is capable of facing a worse challenger than Heiland, but I guess that depends on how far down the bottom of the barrel you’re willing to scrape.

I have him #9 personally. Most of the title bout orgs vary wildly. I'm not crazy about this fight, but it's not bad. I'm glad Golovkin stays active at least. Hopefully some big stuff happens in 2017 for Boxing in general because this year has been pretty dull.

I'd prefer Avtandil Khurtsidze. I think he is better than Heiland and he has very exciting style

So Jacobs has starting to quack , quack...... give me more time to get ready, quack, quack.

It's not GGG's fault that he's so damn good. At least he stays active. :TU:

I'd have been more interested in seeing Golovkin/Heiland a year ago. Heiland hasn't done jack sh*t since he KO'd Macklin back in 2014.

What is Andy Lee up to? If Jacobs, Saunders, and Eubank are all out of the running, he's probably the next best thing.
