The best active Western European boxer
The best active Western European boxer
What do you think about ? My choice is Anthony Joshua.
Re: The best active Western European boxer
yes. i think we see a heavy weight greatValMar wrote:What do you think about ? My choice is Anthony Joshua.
in the making. i remember the last time
a young heavy was seen that way, wlad
end nineties. that was clearly in the end
disappointed by his KO losses against
mediocre opposition, but i see joshua
being on the one hand more complete
and on the other hand not so physically
dominant as wlad was. which means
joshua probably has the better chin on
top of his offensive capabilities.
we will see about that of course, but that
is my assessment as of now. just looking
at anthony makes you forget his size,
because he moves so well. that is for me
always and indication for a possibly great
heavy.

With the exception of Frampton, they're African-European. More like African than European.ginty wrote:Kell brook or carl frampton

Bellew (three of four grandparents), Haye (mother), Brook (mother), Eubank (mother) and Joshua (one grandparent) all have West European ancestry.PsychoGamerTwo wrote:With the exception of Frampton, they're African-European. More like African than European.
The Furys are Irish Travellers.
Re: The best active Western European boxer
It's Frampton.
Re: The best active Western European boxer
All of them are citizens of UK, and UK is definitely Western Europe.PsychoGamerTwo wrote:ValMar wrote:What do you think about ? My choice is Anthony Joshua. With the exception of Frampton, they're African-European. More like African than European.ginty wrote:Kell brook or carl frampton

Carl Frampton sure
Re: The best active Western European boxer
I don't know if he's the best or not but my favorite is Frampton. How can you not love that kid? He's a little animal and as classy of an athlete as you'll find. I'll root him on against anyone and I'm American.

Carl Frampton for me as well.

Frampton, Brook and, to throw a new name into the hat, Jamie McDonnell. 2 wins over Kameda, taking Ceja's 0 and wins over Hall and Jamoye makes up a pretty decent resume.
Re: The best active Western European boxer
I thought Tomoki Kameda deserved the decision over McDonnell in the 2nd fight. I don't remember how I scored the first fight.tigermoth87 wrote:Frampton, Brook and, to throw a new name into the hat, Jamie McDonnell. 2 wins over Kameda, taking Ceja's 0 and wins over Hall and Jamoye makes up a pretty decent resume.

I'd go Frampton too - the only one I have in my p4p top 10.
What about best active Western European boxer, excluding British and Irish? Do Sturm, Abraham and Huck count? It's probably Michel Soro anyway though I personally haven't seen much of him yet.

I came here to post Marco Huck, he's pretty underrated imoHyacinthusTurnipseed wrote:I'd go Frampton too - the only one I have in my p4p top 10.
