Browne is very crude and easy to hit, just depends what Klit has left,at his age he could fall apart over night.

If Wladimir is anywhere near his best, he wins easily.

If he is as old as he looked during his last two fights, he might struggle, but should still prevail.

I can only see Browne winning is Wladimir is shot to pieces.

Think Browne is tailor made, slow, crude and easy to hit. Unless wlad has aged dramatically since his last two contests, he'll club Browne into submission pretty quick.

Is this fight announced anywhere?

Ben Dirs saying a good source has it as Haye facing Browne for WBA regular title.

Nope. Just on BoxRec at the moment.

As for the fight, Wlad inside 6.

I fail to see how Wlad's to blame for Fury pulling out, there's not much time for him to get an opponent lined up, and Hearn would have wanted a king's ransom for the Joshua fight.

No surprises there.

I'd favour Haye no doubt, but the style matchup could produce fireworks, be interesting if Browne landed a big shot.

It would make sense for it to be Klitchsko vs Joshua for WBA title..... winner gets Super status..... so Haye vs Browne for WBA regular status.

I do think it will be Browne vs Haye, just David's comments with #andthenew and Bellew stating he thinks a one off fight at Heavyweight vs Haye will be for the title.

I thought the WBA were starting to get rid of the interim and regular titles? I saw Browne commenting on it himself the other day.

Browne is the easy option here. If Wlad fights him instead of AJ he's shat out of it plain and simple! Let's hope common sense prevails and the WBA order the AJ fight! I somehow doubt it though! They fucktards at the WBA couldn't organise a cake fight in a bakers!

What's the same old Wlad? He's fought the top contenders for years, unified, and was going to rematch the guy who just beat him.

He's nearly 41, is going on 70 fights and 20 years pro, and hasn't looked good in a while, so this fight could be more interesting than some think.

You cant blame him though. If he fights and beats Browne for the WBA belt- he then has more bargaining power when it comes to making the Joshua matchup. At the moment I imagine Hearn is trying to dictate terms which I'd imagine Klitschko and Boente who are quite controlling naturally don't particularily like.

I get that but it's just a lot of fornicating about isn't it? Just get on with it. Bottom line is if they don't fight next then we're gonna have to endure Wlad v Browne and probably AJ v Price! That's just soul destroying man!

Let's be frank, the fight with Joshua was never likely in the proposed time frame, I doubt either camp wanted to make the fight now, when they can make it next year for twice as much, if not more, it's a potentially humungous fight.

I reminds me of when Lewis was due to fight Kirk Johnson, and then took on Vitali when Johnson pulled out - spoke volumes about Lewis as a fighter that he swapped a lesser opponent for a much more difficult and very different one, but it was far from the norm.

I think Wlad will probably look to fight Joshua next year, given that Fury seems likely to be out of the ring for some time, and win or lose I think he will retire, after one last massive payday, the only fight he might return for would be a fury rematch, but I think the timescales will be wrong. He'll probably be 42 by the time Fury is back in contention, and won't return.

I don't blame anyone for this fight not happening, it makes sense for both to fight a keep busy fight, and then fight next year, provided of course both win.

Lucas seems like a stand-up guy to me who has maximised what he's got.

He's also challenged the WBA over a decidely iffy drugs result and done us all a big favour by getting Chagaev removed from the equation and the belt out off the swamps of Chechyna...

.....but whether it is Haye or Wlad next for Lucas, he's coming up short.

Even an elderly Wlad will keep him on the end of a pole-like jab and just fence him to death (and bore us rigid) and the one thing Haye loves is a big, brawling but not very mobile heavyweight who wants to come right at him and press the action. David can still do that thing.

I could really see Haye making a mess of Lucas - he's too quick and hits plenty hard - and WK churrns out another comfortable, 12-round snoozefest.

One presumes that the WBA wll then inisist that Fres Oquendo is the mandatory challenger...as Oquendo is their automatic, default setting for everything. When in doubt the champ has to fight Fres

You can't really hate on Browne trying to cash in either (I've seen that Whyte has been throwing insults his way) - he's only got a few years left in his career and he's apparantly made hardly any money up until this point of his career. Whyte was saying he still lives with his parents due to his financial situation (Browne that is).

Whether we rate Browne or not, he's certainly paid his dues and deserves a title shot more than some.
