Egginton stoppage late. Probably around the 8th or 9th after a body assault from Egginton
Just to blow smoke up my own arse.

absolutely delighted he got stopped
Re: Round-By-Round - Sam Eggington vs. Frankie Gavin - October 22nd 2016
Fight over in the eighth. Eggy was too strong forGavin and was hurtinghim continually to the body. Frankie would get hit, hurt, then stand doubled up along the ropes where hed get battered. After a long series of body shots in the eighth Gavin crumbled to the canvas and fight was stopped.TheLeprechaun wrote:can anyone give updates on whats actually happening. for people who arent watching the fight but are looking for a ROUND BY ROUND ACCOUNT of the fight, as per thread title
Gavin landed plenty, but his shots lacked power and Eggy kept wiping out his success by hurting him.

Ahead of the scorecards! That must be bollocks.

As I wasn't watching though- no idea if a body assault was involved in the final sequence of the fight however.

Re: Round-By-Round - Sam Eggington vs. Frankie Gavin - October 22nd 2016
Well I had Gavin a couple of rounds ahead by the end but my Mrs and daughter have been waffling all the way through so when I seen Macklin and Coldwell's cards I thought I might have been watching a different fight and maybe concentrating too much on Frankie's work and neglecting Eggington's work, although I did obviously see Sam come firing back ,I only gave him the rounds he scored the knockdowns and the 2nd standing count was bogus but Gavin was creased, the finish was pure Eggington though,Gavin showed balls of steel especially in that 6th which was superb from both guys but Sam is pretty unforgiving and got the cracking KO
Great fight,I was able to see a scenario where Eggington's non stop punching could overwhelm Gavin but I fancied Frankie's skills to win on the night, credit to Eggington though not long, coming off his toughest loss to pullout his biggest win

Cox definitely should have been DQ'd for the massive headbutt attempt. His temperament is shocking.Boxing Prospect wrote:Points off all over the places, just a wild, wild fight, both could have been DQ'drpms wrote:Whats the story with the Jamie Cox fight ?
