Non-HOF brothers who fought 3 HOFers
Non-HOF brothers who fought 3 HOFers
Ambling Alp's "Non-HOFers who beat 2 HOFers" from a few weeks back seemed to spark a lot of interest - so I thought it might be fun to try another HOF question.
This time we're looking for examples of 2 (or more!) non-HOF brothers who both/all fought AT LEAST 3 members of the IBHOF (regardless of category).
Of course not nearly as many as in Ambling's question - but there are still quite a few. How many can you guys name?

Re: Non-HOF brothers who fought 3 HOFers
Ok, I'll thrown in the 1st pair (it said nowhere that having a HoF brother eliminates the rest of the family) :
Eddie & Jack Zivic
Eddie fought Tony Canzoneri thrice + Freddie Miller, Wesley Ramey & Henry Armstrong
Jack fought Lew Tendler twice + Young Corbett III & Jackie Fields
P.S. While they don't make the list, Donald & Bruce Curry are probably as close as it gets in modern times...
Donald fought Mike McCallum & Terry Norris
Bruce fought Wilfredo Benitez twice + Thomas Hearns
Bruce won't get a 3rd mark though... and Curry is likely to be inducted (if) before any of his next category opposition (Honeyghan, Starling, Nunn)

How? Canelo will deffo be Matthew's only HoF opponent and even that may be a stretch. Ricky sure fought three (albeit only one currently in).littlepug wrote:the hattons are in with a shout if canelo ever makes it in

Re: Non-HOF brothers who fought 3 HOFers
Then guys whose brotherhood is even mentioned in their ringnames : Jack Twin Sullivan & Mike Twin Sullivan.
Jack has no difficulty with the quota. He fought Philadelphia Jack O'Brien four times (one draw), Kid McCoy, Tommy Burns twice (win and a draw), Stanley Ketchel, Frank Klaus, Billy Papke, Joe Jeannette, Jack Dillon and Battling Levinsky (twice)
Mike makes it "Just" : Joe Gans thrice, Stanley Ketchel, Jack Dillon
P.S. I know that they both have one more HoF member in their record, but let's leave that for later...

Jimmy Bivins is only 50% of what would make a PAIR of brothersginty wrote:Jimmy bivins fought archie Moore, ezzard Charles and Joe louis beating the first 2
And he is Hall of Famer himself which also disqualifies him from here...
Did you even read the original question from Bundana???
