The Aberdeen Assasin
Lee McAllister ex Euro champ making a comeback after 3 years away. Thoughts?
Re: The Aberdeen Assasin
Found his level first time round.
Re: The Aberdeen Assasin
He was never the European champion.mimmy123 wrote:Lee McAllister ex Euro champ making a comeback after 3 years away. Thoughts?
Re: The Aberdeen Assasin
I think he fought Shafikov for the Euro title then pulled out during the fight because of injury? Shafikov had his number anyway if I remember correctly?Horse wrote:He was never the European champion.mimmy123 wrote:Lee McAllister ex Euro champ making a comeback after 3 years away. Thoughts?
I'm sure he was a two weight Commonwealth champ.
He got the jail a while ago I think. Might struggle to get his licence back. Was a decent enough fighter but not as good as he thought he was! He was doing well against John Murray and got too cocky.

Re: The Aberdeen Assasin
Hes actually taken out a BIBA license, odd considering im hearing rumours from people inside that BIBA/MBC are very close to folding.
From what i can gather, their fearless leader did actually follow through on his legal threats, BUT LOST, and is now skint.
The way they are so defiant i imagine they'll keep going til the very end, but it seems several licensees have already jumped to BBBofC and others are either in the process of doing or are considering doing so.
And im not talking about a handful, i mean they are losing boxers 5 times as quickly as they are gaining them.
All hearsay of course, but from a good source.

If he's serious about giving the comeback a go and is fit and healthy enough then good luck to him. I can't see him making much of a noise domestically. He last fought at 140 and we have a lot of talented young guys at that weight at the moment.
