Matchroom announcing big news tomorrow

Post by kwesterman »

Matchroom's twitter account has confirmed they will be announcing some big news tomorrow for their 26th November show. Any ideas? I think it will either be BIlly Jo signing for matchroom or one of Buatsi/Joyce turning professional with them.

No way Matchroom signing BJS, I just dont see it. Buatsi/Joyce signing would be a big news. Especially Buatsi who I thought was the most impressive pro prospect at the Olympics.

Cant see Joyce doing a huge amount as a pro. Isn't he already like 30 odd? He's also very robotic looking in his style.

Hearn mentioned to Koogs that he had signed an Olympian in a recent interview.

making announcements about making announcements

lol, different league to american boxing. showtime announced quality fights. there was no announcement about an announcement. and you know the announcement is going to be an anti climax

Has there ever been even one time where one of these "there is going to be a big announcement tomorrow" announcements has resulted in anything actually remotely big actually being announced? Aren't they always disappointing? Is there a chance that this'll be just to confirm Joshua vs. Molina or whatever?

If it is Buatsi that's cool, though he is likely too under-developed to be pushed into interesting fights any time soon.

No way would Billy Joe ever leave Warren, especially for Hearn. Gypsys seem to be extremely loyal even when it's not the best thing for there career, fury is a prime example of this. Would love the announcement to be ward v cacace and Edwards v Selby. No chance of it as they are 50-50 fights but we can hope.

If it is Katie Taylor realistically what would Matchroom do after the initial 'homecoming' 'pro-debut' event? Realistically?

Katie Taylor makes sense. Off the back off Claressa Shields going pro too and debuting on Ward/Kovalev. Gaining more and more popularity in Scandanavia too, so there's no way Eddie can resist a potential cash in.

confirmed its Katie Taylor turning over with them, not being funny but as a Sky subscriber I'm getting sick of being stuck with substandard fights (as the best are saved for PPV) now Iwe'll be getting lumbered with female pro boxing which lets face it is shit!

good move for taylor. she can fight at the olympics still.

As for Saunders he gets more money with frank and doubt he is ppv worthy fighter unless he fights SA and GGG. I am still not convinced he can make middleweight anymore. twice he's pulled out with injuries, got a feeling he will be dead at the weight and will move up once he gets a pay day from them or Eubank.

All the fools that think female boxing is poo said the same about female ufc...

Ronda rousey is more famous than any boxer in the UK at present

Katie will sell massive tickets in Ireland..

Bellew was in a very good fight with a top quality undercard in the so called fight city and done less than 7000 tickets

Now that is fairly poo
