In a recent interview, Abel Sanchez was asked to give his opinion on the Kovalev/Ward fight. In the process, he passed on answering any questions regarding GGG and Kovalev's sparring sessions because a showdown between these two "will happen eventually" once GGG moves up successfully. The interviewer swung and missed by not following up on the bombshell of a comment but the prospects of this fight happening at some point intrigues the heck out of me.
Here we have two of the the most feared and avoided fighters on the planet "eventually" meeting inside the ring. Let's assume that GGG moves up successfully and he's just as deadly and spectacular at 175. Let's also assume that Kovalev beats Ward, big assumption-I know, but go with it. Can you imagine a better fight that could be made? Aside from the fight being epic and historic, who would you favor and why?
