Joshua vs price and haye vs bellew

Post by TheGman »

If i was hearn i would put these two matches on,liverpool vs london champions vs challengers cause the two scousers wont shut up about what happened in a meaningless spar, repeat or revenge it could be billed as and i bet the the two scousers get put to kip early "bring ur pillows lads"

As much as I can't hack listening to scousers, even I can't condone this.

Bellews sparring stories seem like complete bollocks to me. Haye is in on their apparent 'bad blood' so isn't setting the record straight.

'Me and Pricey beat you up'

Tyson Fury once had something to say about big bad Bellew and his big mate. Not much came back the other way! Perhaps Fury and his like are a little too scary for Bellew to pull his fake 'I'm a proper nutter me' persona on?

Both fights are awful match ups.

Price/Bellew would be a freak show undercard fight on a December Joshua/Haye bill. The two matches as they are now, I think I'll give them a miss.

Oi, greatest fighting city in the history of the universe!!!

It must kill them when it's pointed out that their dear friends along the road in Manchster have produced far more top quality fighters and champions than the fighting city of Liverpool ever has.

They're an angry bunch as well! They almost rival us west of Scotland folk for aggression! One time we were in Ibiza and we were having a drunken debate with a pack of Scousers about football I think. Everyone thought we were about to start scrapping but it's just the angry bark of our tone

This card would certainly get the attention of Liverpool.

One fight that would be over within 6 and another over as,soon as the first bomb lands on price.

That said it would be good to see both of these scousers put back in their box.

Hearn would never put this on the same card. He would think both would be PPV worthy...

I really cannot see Haye vs Bellew as early as December, not enough time to do it justice. It is a crap fight, but like Harrison vs Haye it could do big numbers and big ticket sales if they can continue to promote it.

My predictions are as follows.

Joshua vs Price in December (IBF Heavyweight title) - PPV.
Haye will fight for "ordinary" WBA title. But yet the WBA "Super" title will be still up for graps. If a Sky fight it will be on PPV, but could also be on

There will be three BIG PPV's in 2017 involving the Heavyweight title.

March / April - Joshua vs Klitchsko - IBF and WBA Super (the WBA will grant Klitchsko champion emertius status, based on his injury).
May / June / July - Haye vs Bellew - WBA ordinary title.
October - Haye vs Joshua. IBF and WBA Super Titles.

Wishful thinking? and all subject to results / performance. I just think Bellew vs Haye could have the potential to do big ticket sales if promoted well..... just remembering Haye vs Chisora.

I'd say that the Haye/Bellew mega fight is more likely to happen March/April time. Wlad still has a few fights on his contract, right? And won't be coming straight back to fight Joshua anyway. He'll fight... I dunno... Lucas Browne and in the mean time Joshua will fight the winner of Chisora-Whyte. Deontay Wilder will fight Dominic Breazeale in his comeback and Joseph Parker, having picked up a belt, will defend against Shannon Briggs. The huge summer Wembley fight will then be either between Haye and Joshua or Joshua and Klitschko, although I will believe it when I see it from my overpriced Stubhub purchased seat through my binoculars, as this is heavyweight boxing, and all parties are liable to sprained ankles/cocaine addiction/pulled vaginas/failed drug tests at any time. October will see the rescheduled fight fall through again, with a newly 'rejuvenated' Tyson Fury, looking even more like a giant middle aged man in a pub, calls a press conference and announces in a new weirdly croaky Dalek voice that "the man is back and ready to fight in 2018" while wearing a North Face fleece. Billy Joe Saunders, finally back from injury, announces he will fight Alexander Brand at SMW on the undercard.

What's Ronda Rousey up to these days?

I don't know. Since Whyte AJ has showed more patience in getting his guaranteed KO to come and so Breazeale stayed in there for a while. I suppose Wilder would more likely to make an actual fight out of it in that he'd get hit back but would take out Breazeale a couple of rounds earlier. Dunno... Haven't really watched Wilder with any great interest for a long time. He's an embarrassment.
