Crawford-Molina: Who wins?

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Looks like unbeaten unified junior welterweight world champion Terence Crawford (29-0, 20 KOs) will defend his title on December 10th against John Molina Jr. (29-6, 23 KOs) in a bout to be televised on HBO. The site will be the CenturyLink Center in Crawford’s hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. Top Rank and Premier Boxing Champions are reportedly close to finalizing the deal.

Arum and Haymon seemed to have patched things up.
The nuts and bolts of the deal were negotiated by Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti and Tom Brown of TGB Promotions, but Arum and Haymon had to first sign off.

"I have absolutely no problem making fights with Haymon now. I respect him as a very smart guy, and I would do business with my fighters on his cards and I have no problem offering his fighters opportunities to fight my fighters on my cards," Arum said. "That wasn't true when we were in litigation, but the litigation is over now."
Some, maybe all, will call this a mismatch, I would just call it, Crawford keeping busy. He hasn't got any mandatories, has just unified the division.

That is a fine fight taking into account the short notice, but Crawford should be 20/1 favorite.

Crawford. Easy. Molina has been looking shot to me for a little while and he was never that great to begin with.

If Molina had lost to Provodnikov, I doubt if many would have complained about that match-up, but he beat him. It will be a good fight to watch as far as action. The only other fight I would like to see at 140 for Crawford is Pac or Broner. I think Arum is ready to cash out. Pac may have a tougher than expected fight vs Vargas.

Molina has too much wear and tear to be a threat to Crawford. Doubt this fight goes the 12 round distance.

Crawford knows he can win on decision. Seen as it's a voluntary, he needs to end this inside the distance, fans already think his style is boring

Molina loses every minute of every round and either gets shutout or gets stopped.

Molina barely bothered to fight when faced with Broner's speed.

I doubt he'll do much of anything against Crawford---the man who will retire Pacquiao.

Crawford routinely dismisses Molina in about 8 rounds.

Crawford by dissection. He will make an utter mess of John John Molina, because the younger, fresher, more athletic and intelligent boxer. Crawford's switch hitting ability and superior footwork and speed will make this fight extremely one sided.

only chance for Molina is lucky punch like he did against Micky Bey. But Crawford is not Micky Bey. TKO stoppage for Crawford inside 8 rounds. Anyway i am cheering for Molina, just because world champion of Crawford format has taken this sh!tty fight.

Crawford is not a KO puncher, but he is so much better than Molina that he will gradually break him down for a late-round stoppage!!

Yeah in all seriousness he'd be a better opponent....well....the Welterweight (former Jr. Middleweight) one would anyway.

Oddsmakers, of course, consider this a tight, intriguing matchup.

They've only installed Crawford as a 100-1 favorite.
