Cotto at the wrong weight

I'm not sure Cotto is going to see out his 'last year at light welterweight' undefeated. In this photo he looks sick. He should move up straight away. The cracks have been showing in his past few fights, and he must nearly kill himself to make 140.

Anyone else think Cotto looks worryingly drained or is it just me ?

have to agree although luckily for him even a weight drained cotto will have too much for Branco.

He looks really bad in that photo. I've no idea why he's still fighting at light welter at this point. Someone is going to do a number on him at some point... although it probably won't be Branco.

Now THAT is a weight drained looking fighter. His doctor is on very dodgy ground. Good job he's not got a serious threat in front of him tonight.

Can't see this listed on usual Italian channels RAI. Anyone know?

Abraham/Taylor is on tonight around 9.30 - ARD.

Thats a scary photo - I always thought his weight problems were more hype/excuses than anything - remember in his first couple of years as a pro he looked to be challenging the Lightweight guys.

However, he is barely recognisable in that picture.

my guess is he won't look like that tonight

seems he'll hang around at 140 for Castillo and continue to battle the scales and then puff up. JLC always looks ordinary in his smaller fights, but I'm sure Cottot thinks he's for the taking.

I wish Cotto was back to the form he showed vs Pinto and Bailey.

Shocking!... Cottos management should be ashamed of themselves, they are leaving Cotto open to getting hurt...

I just found it & it plays on Hotbird ok - but I can't see mention of when they're showing it.

The Cotto fight is scheduled for 3am (GMT)

It's scheduled one hour after the Calzaghe fight, ideal or what 8)

You're not wrong about Cotto. I saw him in Vegas last year and he is naturally stocky didn't look fat at all.

The Corley fight was the first time i'd seen him at a weigh in and it scared the life out of me. Imagine having to do this to yourself on a regular basis.

I would simply refuse. It's not like he'd be out of his depth a Welter - his people are gambling with his career and wellbeing.
