It's hard to say. I don't see Golovkin T/K.O Canelo. I see Canelo stilling rounds with his good combination punches and Golovkin trying to counter him with poisoned shots. Canelo is a strong dude and I think he's be able to take GGG's power punches. Anyway it's a very intriguing match.gilgamesh wrote:I don't think Canelo makes it the distance, but even if he does there'd be no doubt who the winner was. TBH Canelo may beat GGG as he did with Cotto

All Canelo has to do is survive, and he will UD GGG. GGG is without a doubt in my mind at least a superior boxer in most of the categories. One thing to think about is the style of GGG is exactly the type that makes Canelo look very good. Like I said, if Canelo's chin stands up the judges will give him the nod, deserving or not. Risky bet. Forget about the age factor, since most here think GGG will have an easy night anyway. GGG doesn't even turn 35 until next April. Floyd was 38 vs Pacquiao, his toughest test.

sure, which doesn't make it true. youBadhusker wrote:The same argument can be made that Pac waited until Floyd was 37 or38 or whatever he was.man wrote:yes, he does what floyd did with pac:apollo creed wrote:Being realistically, Canelo has fought elite opponents and he's improving as a fighter by making less mistakes, meanwhile Golovkin is getting old
wait until it's easier.
need to be a die hard floyd fan to not
see he was the one who managed when
they meet.

You must be kidding calling the old extremely cautious Pac Floyd's toughest test. Whether it was an injury, lack of PEDs, fear to be stopped or something else doesn't matter. That was not Floyd's toughest opponent, not even close.Badhusker wrote:All Canelo has to do is survive, and he will UD GGG. Pac Man was 36 though. Canelo is still younger than a lot of prospects.Badhusker wrote:All Canelo has to do is survive, and he will UD GGG. Golovkin trying to counter ? Golovkin is a pressure fighter, and he will not allow Canelo who can't even fight for whole rounds to work as number 1. Canelo is the one who loves to counter punch and does it really well. However, Golovkin is not a dummy like Angulo or Kirkland, so he will not stick his chin out for Canelo to counter. Whatever Canelo lands, GGG will take. Golovkin by a late TKO.apollo creed wrote:It's hard to say. I don't see Golovkin T/K.O Canelo. Well I see more Golovkin trying to counter Gingerboy with his left hook than viceversa. GGG would pump his piston-jab to create an opportunity and then throw his downward left hook.boxing_rocks wrote:Golovkin trying to counter ?
