Tom Dallas
Tom Dallas
Once touted as a potential heavyweight champ, Tom Dallas is set to return to the ring in October...http://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/spor ... es-101215/
Re: Tom Dallas
Maybe he could fight Joe Joyce next year. Earn him a few quid.
Re: Tom Dallas
credit to him he keeps going.
Re: Tom Dallas
Looked to have a decent skill set at one point lost his way a bit , didn't like seeing him get pummelled over the ropes by Skelton tho hopefully he doesn't get hurt if carries on!
Re: Tom Dallas
Dallas is decent area title level and could earn as a stepping stone. However his lack of survival instincts means that he gets hurt when he steps up.
Re: Tom Dallas
Poor man Price unfortunately, but useful no less.

Re: Tom Dallas
I`ve seen Dallas take one too many a shellacking already.
Even Charles Martin turned him into a stiffened mute in the first round. If they keep feeding him to people far better than him, he might regret it one day.

Re: Tom Dallas
Joyce needs to get a move on, I'd say Dallas vs Joyce THIS year - A good fight for Joyce's debut.

Re: Tom Dallas
There was a few months window a few years ago when i thought Dallas might be the dark horse of the division,Price was getting all the publicity and Maloney was building the both of them up and a potential fight was on the cards in a while down the line, then Price had an opponent pull out(was it McDermott?) so Frank had to put both of them in together sooner than he wouldve liked and Price KO'd Dallas in about 2
But yeah i rated Dallas highly and thought he was title material,if only for a short while

Re: Tom Dallas
Dallas only just above novice level, anyone with half decent skills demolishes him every time, props for getting in there but never gonna be a happy ending for tom
Re: Tom Dallas
The last time I saw him fight he was being mauled and draped over the ropes by Skelton whilst Maloney was shaking his head ruefully at ringside.
Re: Tom Dallas
Pains me to say it, but the kids got no heart.

Re: Tom Dallas
It's not heart he is lacking, it's a relatively fragile confidence that was smashed to bits by Price. That and talent. He's area level champ material, which is nothing to be sniffed at. He can bang but he's literally too nice. He's as sound a bloke as you could ever meet.
He makes Price look ultra confident.

Re: Tom Dallas
Think his heart is ok but the ability just isn't there, saying that I like guys like Dallas , low skill level but still keep going trying to get better
Re: Tom Dallas
Yesterday he got knocked out by a 2-6 opponent with no previous stoppages.....please retire Tom.
Re: Tom Dallas
yup ko'd by a journeyman the only future for him is as a UK journeyman which would probably get him plenty of work but is he even good enough for that ?

He was a lot better before the heavy losses. He needs to stop boxing now. There are easier ways to earn money.

Re: Tom Dallas
The first thing a journeyman needs to do is survive/protect themselves. Tom is unable to do that so there is no career for him in the sport.rm1 wrote:yup ko'd by a journeyman the only future for him is as a UK journeyman which would probably get him plenty of work but is he even good enough for that ?
The thing with him is that he is a really top fella, too nice imo and in the ring just does not have that brutal spitefulness that is needed.
Maloney sacrificed him to Price, albeit he got paid well and since then it has been a downward spiral. His confidence is shot to bit. Would not surprise me too see him on the unlicensed circuit soon enough.
Re: Tom Dallas
He obviously isn't durable enough even for that dangerous game a heavyweight journeyman would rather see him leave itrm1 wrote:yup ko'd by a journeyman the only future for him is as a UK journeyman which would probably get him plenty of work but is he even good enough for that ?

I'm sorry to be mean, but which 'genius' predicted he'd be heavyweight champ? Was it another mystic Kellie prediction?lpc wrote:Once touted as a potential heavyweight champ, Tom Dallas is set to return to the ring in October...http://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/spor ... es-101215/

Just read this from August. 'Stiffened mute'forcefraser wrote:I`ve seen Dallas take one too many a shellacking already.

Definitely. He can't get his gloves up in front of his face.cocobongo wrote:He obviously isn't durable enough even for that dangerous game a heavyweight journeyman would rather see him leave itrm1 wrote:yup ko'd by a journeyman the only future for him is as a UK journeyman which would probably get him plenty of work but is he even good enough for that ?
