How realistic is Briggs vs Browne?

Post by Vendettos »

Hearing a lot about this, Briggs has been my favourite fighter in the HW division for many years, so I want this to happen but I question how likely it is.

What do you think? :box: :box:

Despite Browne himself had a big mouth in direction to Briggs, I very much doubt he actually got the guts to show up against Briggs.

Briggs is currently ranked 8th in the WBA rankings below fighters like Ustinov and Haye so dont see how the WBA can come to the conclusion of ordering that fight for their world title.

It's an absolute disgrace that the WBA has procrastinated so much by delaying their announcement of the fighters who'll be competing for one or more of their vacant titles.

How did they come to the conclusion that Haye should be ranked higher as Briggs at all?

It's very realistic. As far as crap matchups go, I've seen crappier but this being a title fight just shows how much of a joke the WBA title is sometimes. I figure Browne would beat Briggs. Briggs is still a dangerous hitter, but if you take what he's got in Rounds 1 and 2, you've taken the best he can give you.

Ruslan Chagaev would box Briggs' ears off, and Browne beat Chagaev so I think you can guess who I think wins this one.

I agree.

They always take a ridiculously long time to make decisions.

Why doesn't Briggs beat someone in the top 50 first?

Because he can't, and he won't beat Browne either.

Nobody dares to fight him, except for talents. Briggs is after elderly boxers who don't dare to fight someone

Browne has just revealed it's confirmed. I'm not convinced at all that this fight happens but it's unfair to accuse Browne of ducking when he has no history of doing so.

Good to hear, I really hope he's not like Daffy.
