Will pac, serguy, ward rescue 2016?

Post by Jip »

as many said, it has been one of the most boring years ever. but november looks like a super strong boxing year. pac/vargas could end in a war, both looked in good shape. kovalev-ward, everybody is waiting for this and it could end up in a classic, either in a classic t/ko or in a classic technicle boxing lesson.

Not sure the year needs rescuing

it's been far from action packed but there have been a reasonable number of good fights, with more to come as you point out here.

I'd say by the standards of recent history, for boxing politics, ducking and not getting the top fights, I wouldn't say 2016 has been particularly bad by comparison.

The Vargas v Pac fight is going to be good, even if it lasts 2 or 3 rounds. Donaire v Magdalena and Osawa v Valdez look like decent scraps. If I am in Vegas, I may go.

SOGgy v Krusher is the fight of the year before it happens.

Don't forget Walters v Loma. It may be the best boxing match.

I don't think that they can save the year but they certainly make it better than it could have been. Losing WKlit v Fury really sucked. We could use a couple of more good big fights.
