Yep about sums up this PPV debacle. Nelson and the other sky sports shills are laughably inept and you can't take a word they say seriously. Molina is nothing but a heavy arsed punch bag.Flump wrote:The main event is a mismatch, some decent fights on the undercard but I'd rather they'd stretch this out over a couple of Sky Sports shows than try and charge PPV. Eric Molina going into the Wilder fight was being spoken about as one of the worst title challengers ever in the heavyweight division, the fact that he went 9 rounds with Wilder says more about Wilder than it does Molina.
On the Sky Sports app they keep waffling on about how Molina almost knocked out Wilder in the third round (really?), Johnny Nelson singing for his supper and a feature on how Americans have come to the UK before and sprung upsets, all pretty desperate stuff.
I'll wait and see the knockout on the news the next day and the rest of the card the following week.

I take it your years as a boxing promoter were hugely successful?Killer Blow wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8J_7U0wTGU
Re: Anthony Joshua vs Eric Molina Announcement
This isn't the worst fight. Molina arguably had Arreola and Wilder hurt before ultimately losing. He's rated relatively highly on Boxrec, it's short notice, and the Wlad fight should be happening next year. I don't have a problem with this.

Just heard a snippet from a Joshua interview
apparently, his opponents are 'raising their game by 40 or 50%' when they fight him

oh, my mistake.
I'm sure it's all worked out very scientifically, though it does beg the question of Charles Martin:
"that was him raising his game?"![[icon_knockout.gif] :KO:](./images/smilies/icon_knockout.gif)
