He was also hurt by Kenny Kost. He has a bad chin which is the main reason of his grabbing style. Kovalev will prove you wrong really soon.ValMar wrote:No...Ward has a decent chin, we will know more about that...Very soon...........hurricanemitch14 wrote:Ward was hurt against Boone at 160....Ward moved up to 168 where he hasn't been hurt once. "Chinny" is exactly what JMM is. He is lucky to be chinny. His chinniness saved him in the first Pac fight. JMM went down without taking more than the one shot damage. That is very different than those who do not go down and end up beaten senseless and stopped.Counter-puncher wrote:Tanzio wrote:

that left hook Katsidis hit him with, no genuinely chinny dude is getting up and returning fire like Marquez did from that, no way.

What do you think about my list ? Do you agree ?
rigo has a good chin. took a big shot from priem donaire (who was a big puncher) and rigo got up right away, like nothing happend.
also pac has a god chin, it took a picture perfect strong punch on the chin to ko him, what didnt happened in around 10 years plus

Disagree. He had to take repeated punishment and be worn down to stop. Holyfield and Douglas had to work til the later rounds to get him out of there. Even Lewis wasn't dropping him with single shots.

Mike Tyson had one the best chins ever.Gorlomi wrote:Mike Tyson. S
His problem was that he lacked a plan B & could become discouraged if his opponent didn't fall over on cue.
There was nothing wrong with his ability to take a punch.

Now Tyson, Pacquiao and Marquez are considered chinny. I guess Hamed, Trinidad, DLH, and Pryor were chinny too as they all have went down and got up from shots they shouldn't have been caught with.
