Ovil McKenzie retiring

Post by ste1983 »

Due to a heart condition just posted on his twitter, shame always great value and the kind of fighter we need more of (happy to fight anyone on any terms not wrapped in cotton wool like so many fighters who have a big promoter behind them).

Always great entertainment and a true warrior, I shall miss seeing him fight but it is clearly the right decision in the circumstances. I wish Ovill all the best with his diagnosis and a long and happy retirement from the ring.

Oh what a shame. Yes a true warrior, not many fighters like him about these days! He would not back down from anyone

Exciting fighter. Cost me £2k during that Prizefighter he won (I layed him in all 3 fights) but a fearsome banger and true individual.

Gutted for McKenzie. Just before the biggest fight of his career.

Always gave good value and featured in lots of exciting fights. Best wishes for the future Ovill.
