BN usually get the Top Rank ones last minute with the international commentary (Colonel Bob).

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Happy days,4 world title fights on this card,I'm not sure about Valdez or Shiming's opponents(Boxing Prospect might provide a heads up
) but looking forward to Donaire vs Jessie Magdaleno ,always been impressed with Magdaleno, has a lot more about him than brother Diego
Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Glad BN have picked this card up. I'm not staying up for it though! I can't seem to do the all nighters anymore and I'm saving myself for Kovalev v Ward
I'll watch it on Sunday morning with my breakfast. I quite enjoy that
Plus my two oldest boys love Pacquiao so they can watch it with me on the Sunday.

I can't enjoy watching boxing while I'm eating, except crisps or something.Stuarty30 wrote:Glad BN have picked this card up. I'm not staying up for it though! I can't seem to do the all nighters anymore and I'm saving myself for Kovalev v Ward![]()

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
If I'm not having a beer I'll usually get a takeaway for the boxing. When the big fights are on I'm probably the same as yourself though.Boxerbeetle wrote:I can't enjoy watching boxing while I'm eating, except crisps or something.Stuarty30 wrote:Glad BN have picked this card up. Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
I like a takeaway for the boxing, but I can't eat it during a fight, I always have to watch something else while I'm eating it. I think I just can't handle the guilt of stuffing my face while watching two guys take it to the limit of physical exertionStuarty30 wrote:If I'm not having a beer I'll usually get a takeaway for the boxing. Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Pretty meh fight really, apart from getting Pacquiao another world title it serves no real purpose other than lining Arum's pockets again, still better than Bradley 4 and I suspect we might get Marquez 5 next,Bob running out of options really
I thought Manny boxed well in the 3rd Bradley fight, still struggling to KO guys these days but he did have Timothy down twice,I never seen Vargas's fight with Ali to win the title but it was a good win especially to get the stoppage as Sadam was a decent fighter I thought,Jessie not a big puncher usually but he did have Bradley badly hurt in the last round of their fight before the ref jumped in early
I suppose there is a chance that Vargas might be too young and fresh for Pacquiao and could trouble him by making him chase shadows but I still feel Manny too good even now for Vargas, wide UD for Pacquiao I reck

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Shiming's opponent is better known as Kwanpichit OneSongchaigym (I personally think boxrec have messed up by listing Thai's by their birth names rather than their fighting names). If you've followed Shiming's career Kwanpichit has already fought the Chinese favourite, being almost stopped in the first round before cutting Shiming late and having a very late rally...lost by about 14 points on all 3 cards.handsofstone wrote:Happy days,4 world title fights on this card,I'm not sure about Valdez or Shiming's opponents(Boxing Prospect might provide a heads up) but looking forward to Donaire vs Jessie Magdaleno ,always been impressed with Magdaleno, has a lot more about him than brother Diego
Kwanpichit was almost stopped inside a round by Ben Mananquil (had Kwanpichit been the visitor that fight would have been stopped as a TKO). He's on a stoppage run since the loss to Shiming but his level of competition makes Paul Smith look like a world beater.
Valdez's opponent, Osawa, has trained with Nacho B. and is a former OPBF/interim WBO Asia Pacific champion who is probably best known for things outside of the ring. He was banned for 12 months for lying to the JBC, who revoked his license and that of the gym he was fighting for, for a bout that received sanction from the JBC based on a lie, he is also known for his charitable work - hence his moniker of "Caregiver boxer".
Whilst a seemingly good guy out of the ring he's not going to fare well with Valdez, the best I can see is that he frustrated Valdez for a bit, but gets stopped.
Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Does anybody really care about this fight? I'll probably watch the highlights if and when they're on YouTube but that's about it.

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
I think Donaire/Magdaleno is an interesting fight,I haven't seen Donaire since Walters KO'd him,he was already looking a bit shaky before that fight, since the loss to Rigo really his p4p performances have been on the wane, still I wasn't surprised he became world champ again when I seen his opponent, Magdaleno has always impressed me he looks a good little fighter, fast, busy and hits hard,he hasn't beat anyone to write home about though
I think he'll be too much for this version of Donaire though and he might stop Nonito

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
im always interested in a pacquiao fight, and this is a decent enough match at this stage of his career. but i wouldnt be overly sad if he never boxed again, after all he has done id hate to see him get panelled by some half-witted scrote.
Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Well said generally, though I'm not sure whether Vargas is half witted scrote! I may have missed something there.veriton wrote:im always interested in a pacquiao fight, and this is a decent enough match at this stage of his career. but i wouldnt be overly sad if he never boxed again, after all he has done id hate to see him get panelled by some half-witted scrote.
I have a career collection of Pacquiao dvds as I was a big fan of him a few years ago. I remember him having a fight on a Japanese golf course with people playing in the background. How times have changed!

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Try and watch Donaire Vs Juarez before the weekend, ended up being a bit of an over-looked modern classichandsofstone wrote:I think Donaire/Magdaleno is an interesting fight,I haven't seen Donaire since Walters KO'd him,he was already looking a bit shaky before that fight, since the loss to Rigo really his p4p performances have been on the wane, still I wasn't surprised he became world champ again when I seen his opponent, Magdaleno has always impressed me he looks a good little fighter, fast, busy and hits hard,he hasn't beat anyone to write home about though

I can see this going 120-108 with Manny in inspired form

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
I fancy it to be a draw. Pacman has a lot of miles on the clock. Vargas isn't an ATG, but he's a very capable boxer.
Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
I'll maybe set my alarm for 6 or so. It's definitely on box.nation

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Who the hells in commentary with Tim Bradley and Brian Kenny?
Guys a total nuthugger for Shiming,he is boxing well but that 8th round was close Phaprom landed a few meaty shots but he was making out he only landed 1,thankfully Bradley called him out on his BS but he even started disagreeing with Bradley

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
120-108 Shiming for me,i thought he boxed well for the most part, very quick, great counter puncher and moves around the ring well, like every fight he has though he gets tagged easily by hayemakers he's wide open on the inside when he lets his hands go,Phaprom landed single shots throughout but just not enough to win rounds
Im not convinced about the length of Shiming's title reign though,he takes a good shot but he's far too wreckless defensivly

Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Jessie Magdaleno gets the mild upset victory over Nonito Donaire
Re: Jessie Vargas vs Manny Pacquiao,
Good fight and a great victory for Magdaleno.
