If there is/was a contract in place that forced Haye to fight Briggs one of two things would have happened;
1. Haye fights Briggs
2. Briggs sues Haye for loss of earnings (presumably six figures at least) due to breach of contract.

This sems likely. Now that the wbo has guaranteed haye a title shot for ko'ing 2 nobodies, there's no incentive to fight a ranked contender. Bellew would be easy money for haye, but then parker could be a big challenge.
