Zeuge TKO's De Carolis in 12th to win WBA super middleweight world title

Unbeaten super middleweight Tyron Zeuge (19-0-1, 11 KOs) scored a twelfth round TKO over reigning WBA champion Giovanni De Carolis (24-7-1, 12 KOs) to win the world 168lb title on Saturday night at the MBS Arena in Potsdam, Germany. After battling to a draw in July, the first half of the bout was very close. Zeuge then started imposing his will down the stretch, finally dropping De Carolis in round twelve. Referee Rafael Ramos waved it off after Zeuge continued to batter the champ. Time was 2:41

I haven't watched the fight but I quite like Zeuge. I think he's pretty talented for your average Sauerland prospect.

Germany promoters finally got that tile off De Carolis they had enough chances

Entertaining fight.My first thought was Zeuge is hitting harder than Ive seen before.He had De carolis hurt 5 or 6 times in that fight,he was hurt to the body few times and the left hand from Zeuge.De Carolis didnt look as strong as he usually does and his work was missing a lot more than Zeuge who was landing more cleaner shots,I felt like Zeuge would win that from mid fight onwards tbh.De Carolis was out on his feet in the final round,Zeuge had him hurt twice and then finished him in the corner.Quite a decent display from Zeuge to be fair.

Surprised that two judges had it a one point fight going into the 12th. It was close over the first half, but I thought Zeuge pulled away down the stretch.

I would take Groves over Zeuge at this point
