Hypothetical matchup; Liam Smith vs Liam Williams- who wins?

Haven't really seen enough of Williams, from what I have seen, he would be the faster man and smith the stronger?

Yeah I haven't seen a ton of Williams either which is part of the reason I created the thread. The bits I have seen of him he looks very strong and has a pretty decent dig. I'm curious to what Boxerbeetle (who I think has seen a fair bit of Williams) and the like think.

It should be an easy domestic matchup to make down the line- although saying that, Gallagher loves to pad the records of all his guys unless there's a big payday on offer. So whether it would actually happen is another story.

Right now I'd make Smith the favourite, but I believe Williams is more skilled and will surpass Smith once he's had a few more fights.

Yeah I'd agree with that, I remember seeing him against Pompilio on a German card,might have been Maccarinelli/Braehmer but he was excellent that night and he's pretty much always been excellent since and the main thing is he's getting quality domestic opponents, the likes of Corcoran and Patterson will really bring him on

Seen them both fight and have absolutely no idea. I think it would be a fantastic fight though and they seem fairly close to me.

I've said for a while when their paths cross Liam Williams will beat Smith convincingly.

Williams beats Smith for me but having said that I think Patterson is going to beat Williams when they fight.
