I saw it as a 50-50 fight, but if I had to choose then I thought Joe would lose as I believed he was on the way down. His recent performances have been awful and he was decked by Kabary Salem.

Boy, was I ever wrong!!

He was a different class tonight and absolutely schooled Lacy. Joe has always said that the better the opponent, the better he fights - now I really do believe him. That was an awesome performance.

Credit to Lacy for sticking in there - a warrior, BUT his corner really should have pulled him out anytime after the eighth. The saying goes that a big hitter 'always has a punchers chance'. But, if he can't land a decent punch and is shipping severe punishment then he should have been pulled out. Lacy's corner should be ashamed of themselves.

Now Joe has got our respect again let's hope that he maintains the momentum and gets in with Kessler, Tarver or the like.

The corner was appalling, either in shock or incredibly naive. I was thinking that Lacy should be pulled out as early as the 4th - it's usually around this time, if a fighter hasn't made any mark, that they're out their depth. Joe simply outclassed and battered him big style. Though while it was a career defining masterclass it also confirmed every frustration I've ever had with Joe.

Got that one wrong, well done Joe - faultless.

Lacy = overhyped unfortunately - but I will not take anything away from Joe. I expected him to lose.

From my post on the fourth page of the Current Scene prediction thread...

Most telling sentence: "Jeff's idea of a defensive tactic is to blink in between loading up on you..."

Sorry. Enough self-gratification.

Well done Joe!
