He boxed for St Helens Glass under the tutlage of Albie Chisnall, I remember his brother boxed alongside him (I may be wrong on this though as my mind is playing tricks with age - this was twenty years ago) If so, I remember his mum asking me to film one of them boxing because she didn't want to see them get hit - thankfully for mum - the Murray brother in question won his fight.
