Nah..... Garcia was already damaged goods at the time. I think you're referring to the Mike Dixon fight.littlepug wrote: remember watching this was a right sickener, Vice was worried as eff as he had already been in a tragic fight previously, anyone remember Alex Garcia getting smashed by Garring Lane ? if I remember rightly that loss cost Garcia a big money fight
Re: Most sickening punch
yes your right it was the Dixon fight that cost him, but I think it was the Lane loss that made the ko highlight reelswouter wrote:Nah..... Garcia was already damaged goods at the time. The holyfield fight wasn't really a single punch, it was a methodical and brutal beatdown, I never saw anybody deal with Holyfield with such ease, it was I think Toney's best performance.Bricks wrote:Joey bugners ko of Winston Allen.Joey put a bit of arrsehole in his work that night

Yeah I like Smoger but he does have the occasional blip.gb wrote:Lebedev's final shot on a defenseless RJJ was horrible. Smoger is generally a great ref, but he dropped a massive one that night.

David Tua vs John Ruiz.
That final hook as he's heading south unscrews his head.

I'd rather get hit anywhere than the solar plex I absolutely fecking hate thosedavie wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZgEm7iJ8WY
Bute vs Magee. It's seldom you see a ref wave a body shot off immediately and there's something about getting punched in that solar plexus area, as opposed to round the back of the ribs, that looks sickening.
If your abs are tight you should absorb most shots there, so you get the feeling he wasn't ready for that.

Good shout, that was brutal.Syntax Error wrote:Sugar Ray Leonard v Dave Green.
Re: Most sickening punch
I was sickening in the sense of a warrior like holy being mocked and walked down by Toney with his arms by his side.....and holy for once quitting....in that sense it was more shocking than Ruiz-tua or sanders-Rahman...for eg....a rematch with a fitter healthier holy v a fading Toney in 2010 would have been a holy winjamesmcdonnell wrote:The holyfield fight wasn't really a single punch, it was a methodical and brutal beatdown, I never saw anybody deal with Holyfield with such ease, it was I think Toney's best performance.Bricks wrote:Joey bugners ko of Winston Allen.Joey put a bit of arrsehole in his work that night

Wasn't one punch but a series of body shots Matty Clarkson landed on Travis Dickinson a couple of years back. You could see after the first punch, travis only just made it up and Clarkson just went after his body, relentless. Every shot was twsting his body in pain and his face showed the pure agony. Will never know how he managed to get through the round and win that fight.

This fight was one of the best fights ever.Bigdogsnose wrote:Wasn't one punch but a series of body shots Matty Clarkson landed on Travis Dickinson a couple of years back. If Clarkson & Dickinson were future ATGs, fight fans would talk about this fight until the end of time.
