I'd prefer to see him against a big name opponent, but that ain't happening so Price, Miller or Washington are acceptable I guess.

There is not any available "big name", except David Haye, but he has not got cojones to accept this risky fight.

Miller, Jun Long Zhang, Glazkov? Nothing exiting, but at least nice for the rankings.

Is Glazkov healthy ? What about Briggs ? I feel that Briggs (with solid pay-day, of course) would be willing to fight.......

I doubt the payday would be solid enough for Briggs. He's only got one more big payday left in him. He's gotta squeeze every penny he can out of it.

Considering Joshua has been in the market for the Breazeale's and Molina's of the world of late, I could see him giving Briggs a crack.

Ortiz-Miller is way too interesting, so it won't happen.

Malik Scott was at pretty short notice (although he ended up being an awful opponent).

Possible opponents? Hard one. The only one that sticks out as a possibility is David Price. Hearn was talking possibly squeezing him onto the bill, so if they're both without opposition, it would be logical. Dave Allen wants it, but that's never happening.

Maybe Jarell Miller, but there is a slim chance him being pulled off the card. I don't think Hearn expected him to be dragged through 12 rounds by Scott. Only problem is he's already been promised and is on the posters etc. I guess it depends how much it took out of him.

As far as I know Briggs vs Browne was being made. If Glazkov still isn't recovered, I doubt he will ever be. Briggs isn't after a payday, otherwise he would have fought Whyte/Ortiz. Haye is very predictable, despite his predictable lies.

Briggs is after the biggest payday he can get, because he only gets 1 more. Whyte and Ortiz both beat him easy, and the payday ain't big enough for Briggs. He needs a retirement fund on his last fight. Hell he's probably in debt right now with the whole chasing Wlad around the world BS he was doing. Those trips everywhere Wlad was ain't free.

Assuming it's someone in the WBA rankings, maybe Charr?

Although I can see them going domestic with Price/Allen.

Allen is the first one mentioned with above a 0% chance.

Nobody wants to see that... NOBODY was excited to see Ortiz facing Thompson or Scott...or thought those opponents had 1 chance in 100 of winning... I hate to see boxing matchups where there's only 1 possible winner -- those aren't plausible "fights" because one opponent knows he'll get smashed if he actually tries to win.. So he either runs his ass off, foolishly goes out on his shield giving an "honest effort", thereby risking his health and taking 15 fights off his career, or he dives for the canvas after taking light punches to save himself from getting knocked cold.. Two of those 3 results are frauds and the 3rd is a mugging -- not a fight..

Ortiz should be matched with Haye, Povetkin, Wilder, Joshua, or Fury.. Those guys actually would have a chance... It would be a legitimate fight... I don't see Parker having much of a chance, or Takam, Ruiz, Wladimir, Pulev, or Miller.. But they're much better than the no-hopes Ortiz is forced to fight.

Something is wrong with Boxing when the most dangerous fighters can't get appropriate opponents who actually have a chance to win.

In the case of Briggs there ain't 15 fights left to take off his career. Vitali might've already taken 10 or more years off of his life altogether with the beating he gave him .

Yeah, vitali's lack of power really hurt Briggs.

Ortiz should fight Miller.

Thompson wants it, but that old PED cheat doesn't deserve another payday.
