I would presume that most allegedly subscribers are big boxing fans and would welcome the chance to see these cards on their tv in good quality I stead of streams or waiting for YouTube to come up with the goods a few hours later. Personally speaking I'd prefer a Japanese card everyday of the week to the domestic dross we get on that channel.boxingknockout wrote:I don't want to be deliberately controversial or offend anyone, but Boxn@tion are a British company catering for the British market.
I am a big boxing fan but the only Japanese guy I know is Inoue. And I wouldn't recognise him if he poked me in the eye.
Japanese fighters have unrecognisable name to gaijin, box in low weight divisions and I'm afraid to say look very similar to westerners.
I cannot imagine allegedly improving its viewership based on Japanese boxing. There is not even that big a Japanese ex pat population in U.K.
Now if Japan could produce a serious heavyweight threat I would DEFINITELY want to watch him and learn his name

The Japanese card will likely be the Dece 31st card form Kyoto.

what are people doing who have allegedly but don't have BT on their sky box? I have this problem and am thinking of cancelling my allegedly subscription in a couple of weeks and getting BT instead. will I miss much through not having just BN?

Nothing mate. If you get the BT sport pack you'll get allegedly for free from sometime in January.Reece_D wrote:what are people doing who have allegedly but don't have BT on their sky box? If you get BT Sport lite you'll get the 20 Saturday night shows on BT Sport 1 but not allegedly. I think the lite package is just BT Sport 1 that you get free if you have BT broadband so it may not even be an option.

If or more when they go down the ppv I think people who subscribe to allegedly direct and pay £12 a month might not have to pay for the ppv but people that have just the bt package would need too thats what I thought one of them said in an interview anywayScoops wrote:Nothing mate. sorry for the late reply, only just saw the notification. ye they show the top end amateur shows, but i was hoping to see some on the club stuff. to this day one of the best fights i have ever seen was an amateur bout between a lad from perth and another from aberdeen (can't remember the weight or their names but they were both solid lumps) at a show stevie mcguire put on at pinkertons in glenrothes . there were also two brothers from perth that were great to watch every time they fought and lads like willie billan and simon tierney were top quality to watch as young amateurs that liked a scrap .Stuarty30 wrote:Do they not show the ABAs anymore? They used to show them and they had an Army show UK v US which my mate actually fought on. He's just turned pro but is still in the army. He lost a close decision that night in a decent little scrap.rab wrote:i am of the exact same mind. when i took out the subscription as soon as i could work out how to get it i made up my mind i was in it for the long haul.british boxing needs all the support it can get and i had high hopes the channel would kick start some big things. my biggest disappointment is the lack of amateur shows . i have been to some cracking shows over the years ,well worth watching. at the top end of the amateur game a lot of the matches are a bit cagey, but at the local novice level around the country there are some fantastic fights.Stuarty30 wrote:Hopefully they are starting to get their finger out! I didn't know Crawford was fighting Molina? Really? Poor from Crawford who I'm a big fan of!
ditto with crawford, if he is as good as i think he is he really needs to be fighting someone that can give him a hard time and make him work for it. as game as molina is, he is not that man.
Yeah I think Crawford is the goods as well mate. One of my favourite guys to watch. Seems to have it all but needs stepped up. Even Postol was too easy for him and that was the top two guys in the division supposedly.
there are clubs all over the uk that are putting on decent shows that only a small amount of people ever get to hear about. i think airing even an hour a week of pre recorded amateur fights from a different show every week would be good exposure for the grass roots and a bit of an eye opener for the less hardcore fans that have never gone to an amateur show.

I hate that expression , it always makes me think of a man who has had his finger up another mans arse.Stuarty30 wrote:Hopefully they are starting to get their finger out! I was giving em til Jan then I was going to reconsider my subscription which I've had from day one!
