You guys are bugging with this dude now.
Yeah I'm really not getting this either.
Tell me another fighter who routinely gives his opponents a free shot?

He may not have been tagged a lot by big punchers.
But you could say the same of many top level fighter who aren't regularly challenged.

But as far as a top 5 p4p boxer goes, GGG takes more than most (voluntarily, for the purpose of putting on the big drama show)

I agree GGG has a great chin. Never buzzed or dropped in all professional and 200 plus amateur fights.

GGG has a very good chin. He takes clean shots often yet has never been visibly hurt upstairs, let alone dropped or stopped. He hasn't faced an elite fighter, but he's been hit enough by good enough punchers that I think he's proven himself to be quite durable.

A fighter doesn't have to withstand bombs from a Julian Jackson level puncher to prove their durability, and I'd say most fighters get at least buzzed before facing anyone elite. Even Bika, mentioned in this thread as having a more proven chin, was dropped hard by Curtis Stevens' level puncher Jaidon Codrington.

I wouldn't bring-up anyone matching that description in this discussion.

Lemieux barely laid a glove on him. Did beating Tua proved that Lewis had a great chin?
It is not the same, HW is quite different thing.....And, Lemi has landed several very vicious punches. Stevens too.........GGG didn't blink........
Nope.

#1. GGG's free shots are not Mayorga free shots, so let's stop that.

#2. GGG fights dangerous punchers tactically.
I don't know how to argue something that should be obvious to all observers.
So let's not make it seem like he is in the Mayorga business of giving POWER punchers free shots.

If Lil G fought Ward, like the man you all say he is, he would have gotten outboxed,
but he would have NEVER sold out like he did against Brook.
He would get KO'ed.

Grow up guys. This GGG worship is a bit childish.

Lil G? You joining the koolkc crew?

Usyk at 3 and Ortiz at 5 are more questionable than GGG at 1, as the first two haven't even proved that they have good chins. Picking Ward to KO GGG isn't exactly the tightest fit with evidence either..

You guys believe that GGG could fight Ward like he fought Brook
and not get KO'ed?

GGG WILL beat Ward up bad when he moves to Light Heavyweight in a couple years complete with acclimation fights.... He has been having trouble rounding up all the Middleweights he's been chasing for 7 years, starting with Martinez... But eventually he'll corner them all and knock them all out.

why on earth would he move to light heavy ? Hes as natural a middle as your gonna get, so lets just appreciate him at his best fighting weight instead of a lesser version jumping around the divisions chasing novelty fights

I think people are extrapolating, as he's never so much as blinked when hit flush.

I'd bet the house that his chin is anvil like.

Eventually?

How long do you think he's going to go on.

He will most likely be retired by the time what you talk about happens.

I don't expect we'll ever see Golovkin competing as a Light Heavyweight. He's just not built for that division.

He is a natural MW, obviously.
