Yea I can't disagree. Fans actually get to see their favourite fighters fight top opponents and regularly. They get to see a steady stream of big events. We get a big fight once a year. I hope your hyped for Ward Kovalev.
I'm going to watch it. Can't say I expect it to be great.
Come on mate get pumped. There's a real chance this will be an actual fight. Their big boys, not some welterweight run fest. Kov underrated boxing skills, Ward underrated strength. It'll heat up after a few rounds. Regardless.....it's better this fight is happening than not and i'm praying the ref won't be too involved and Ward won't do to much of the ugly holding one arm and hitting with the other thing he does. So get pumped and buy it on ppv :bag: :bag: :OhYes: :box:

I'm buying it, big kovalev fan, just likely the whole card will be ass. I haven't seen a decent ppv in years except for the UFC.

Why? He couldn't possibly win.

He's a decent boxer though, i know he's a prize fighter now but if i had the choice to see him box then i'd pick a British level guy like Brian Rose to see where he's at.

I'd LOVE to see it. A boxing match between the two would be fantastic entertainment. Mcgregor would know going in that he can't win and that's obvious so i think that he would just try to have some moments during the fight and i think he could have some. Floyd would not knock him out, no way. I think Mcgregor goes in with the goal to finish the fight on his feet and to have a few moments inside the ring.

This fight would be almost as big as Manny/Floyd. They wouldn't get as many buys from Asia but with the UFC fans coming on board for it would make up for that. I'd love to see it. Love.

Mcgregor against ANY top welter would be a mismatch. He gets schooled. The same way, if any of them gets into an octagon, they get mauled.

Floyd should be able to blast him out, but he'd drag it out and win easily and BORINGLY on the scorecards.

The skill deficit compared to our boxers (in terms of striking) is huge. McGreggor wants 100 mil to fight Mayweather, he doesn't deserve that, not interested in seeing the fight but agree it would be better than May/Pac 2.
On paper it was the best card ever. I enjoyed it.
Same here. It was really good. Only in my dreams would boxing offer the same level of match-ups.

With regards to the original question, it's been answered many times over, but Mayweather in a boxing fight and McGregor in an MMA fight, painfully obviously.
