The last four rounds could fairly have been scored for either fighter. Ward is winning exchanges on the inside and is roughing Kovalev up. Kovalev lands three good right hands in the middle of the round. I think those right hands nick it for Kovalev.

Round 7 Ward led the round from wire to wire. Super easy round to score for Ward. Kovalev did rock him with a power jab near the end, though.

Ward clearly wins the 7th - roughing Kovalev up on the inside and outboxing him on the outside. Kovalev lands a good jab in the last minute, but otherwise it's all Ward.

It has for the most part, but you can definitely tell Max is a Ward fan.

76-75 Krusher but the 8th could've gone either way.

Round 8 was super sloppy with lots of inaccurate punching for most of the early going. Very close for most of it until Ward opened-up a super clear lead in the last 30 seconds with some really flush, hard body punching.

Ward is landing good body punches and outboxing Kovalev now, he wins the 8th, I now have it 4-4 with the knockdown the only difference.

Round 9 Kovalev had a slight lead for the first 1 or 1.5 minutes. Ward developed a small lead by the second minute and opened up a super clear lead by the end of the round.

Great 9th round, close but Ward is the sharper and more accurate, another Ward round for me, I now have it even.
