Ward won, and it wasn't as close as I thought the first watching. He won going away. If it had been 15 rounds, it would have been 145-139 Ward or he'd have stopped Krusher.

Just my opinion. Everybody has one. Ward has the W, deservedly.

Yeah I'm quite glad the boring, spoiling clinches in boxing are on their way out. They do make their fights a struggle to get through.

Corrupt judges scoring negative tactics & boxing snobbery fawning over negative tactics is leading to an era of boring, actionless fights. Combined with poor production value and a lack quality cards & matchups, 2016 really has been a pathetic year for boxing.

Yep,

I don't see why running, clinching and spoiling is somehow considered to be good boxing.

I can see why, negating someone's offense by slipping and holding isn't easy, requires good timing and technique to pull it off, have the ref break, then control distance again. But my problem with it is that 1. It's illegals, and 2. The reason it's illegal is it kills the action and spoils the spectacle. Grappling is a prominent part of MMA, perhaps the fans of spoiling would be better place switching over to the ufc.

Do delight in Ward's style?

I feel it's one of the issues with modern boxing and should not be rewarded.

Even with that said, Kovalev still out punched Ward and landed the more effective shots. So, even with Ward's style, most saw Kovalev beating Ward.

Did anyone actually watch the fight or do you all rely on the commentators to tell you what is happening in a fight? Kovalev was as guilty of as much holding as Ward. Why? Cos he has feck all inside skills which in this case lost him the fight. What do you guys want? For Ward to fight Kovalev's fight and stand at the end of his punches? Not going to happen. Ward got to the inside whereupon Kovalev tried to shut him down by holding.

I am a bigger fan of Kovalev than Ward but even I could see that Ward was nicking the rounds because of his inside work.

All wrestling that took place in that fight was initiated by Ward.

It's funny, whenever someone has a card that differs from the unofficial judge, they accuse fans that have similar scores of being influenced by that judge.

BTW, the commenting crew was not 100% for Kov. Max was pretty much all over Ward's nuts in that fight.

Second time through convinced me that it was only close as a result of one punch. Ward outlanded Krusher with jabs, power, and body shots. Ward totally controlled distance. It was not as close as I first thought but I still would have had no problem with 114-113 Krusher.

My only problem is with the squealing piglet horde claiming robbery. Krusher lost. He gets a rematch. End of . . .

Ramming Speed by a round, and I have stood by it every day since. This fight was not as close as that one. But the squealing pig syndrome was greater.

Ward won a close fight going away. Pac lost a closer fight by giving it away. Again, I wiuld have disagreed with either decision going to the other fighter, but both could have gone either way; especially Pac v Ramming Speed 1.

Resume squealing, piglets.

Holding has been gone and out of fashion. Watch films from like 1910 and there was a hell of a lot of holding back then.

Jack Johnson, that era saw a lot of holding. Ali might have brought it back in the 1970s. It goes in and out regarding how much refs put up with it.

You should take a look at Teper/Duhaupas, Teper doesn't do anything else as hugging.
