I honestly feel P4P is a load of bull shit assumptions are based on guesses, if's, but's and maybe's but after Saturday nights action where would you rank him in that "P4P" scale.

I might start posting it again next year, if I've managed to catch up on a load of the fights I've missed.

I've always cared more about the domestic scene than the world scene.

That's a very good point that inactivity hurt him on Saturday especially fighting top people his comeback fights weren't good enough to prepare him

Prior to the fight, i was of the opinion if he beats Kovalev he is P4P#1.

After the fight i now disagree, first i thought he lost the fight, second i thought he fought far to negative, hardly landed anything and was content to try and sneak rounds, not what i want to see from a P4P#1.

When you fight with a boring style you'd better be winning clearly if you want to get a load of credit for it.

Chocolatito is my p4p no.1 with GGG a close second my reasons are just look at their records,i have frampton alvarez crawford even manny pacquiao and thurman above ward,when i think of a p4p list i want to see how often they fight who they fight wether they compete in different weight classes and how well they do in the jump up or down,ward could be no.1 but he doesnt fight often enough and apart from kovalev he hasnt fought a top ranked fighter since dawson imo and even dawson was weight drained for that fight as he was a 175lb fighter at the time not a 168lb fighter. Ward has skills no doubt about it but we dont see them often

I go with the tripartite system when considering who really won a fight, using the following categories: My opinion, the people's opinion & the judges' opinion.

Kovalev wins two out of three, so he was the winner in my book.

I'm not sure I agree with that. The p4p ranking is essentially some mythical way of ranking boxers based on personal opinion. Obviously in this case the actual result has to be taken into account as well but surely to completely ignore personal opinions doesn't make complete sense?

He cleaned out a stacked 168lb division and after a couple of tune up fights at 175 he fights the consensus champion and one of the most destructive punchers in boxing
