Ive got to be honest My heart says Clark but my head says Ward maybe,i thought he was superb against Townend,it was a career best performance and he was flawless that night,it was the 1st time id seen him and understand some of the hype he was getting, mostly from fellow pros,Ronnie will bring it though thats for sure,he will pressure Martin all the way, that can either play into Ward's hands as he's pretty textbook and Clark and Townend arent a million miles apart in style, but if Ronnie constantly pours it on and doesnt allow Ward to get into a groove then Ronnie def has the engine to maintain a pace and win the title, one thing that worries me is that im not sure Clark is big enough at SFW?

I know it will be a cracker though, its a great clash of styles,im praying Ronnie can pull it off,it would mean so much for our city and it couldnt happen to a nicer bloke

I see Ward a level above.

I think it will either be a near shutout points win or a KO win.

Ward has been inconsistent in the past and lost the first Maxi Hughes fight on my scorecard.
Can see him being bang on form for this one.

My opinion is very biased so here it is, Ronnie has pushed every single fighter he's fought close. Been robbed etc and all of this without a full time trainer. Cacace fight Ronnie was in Marbella being a sparring partner for tom stalker with jamie conlan and John thain holding pads when they had a chance. Being in Ireland with a trainer he's like a different fighter, no disrespect to Davie Mcallister as he's a very good man but Ronnie just wouldn't go up to Aberdeen daily and preferred sparring . Ronnie has always been great in the gym and under performed in fights, dean Edwards had Ronnie sparring down England and seen that he does have the ability, he's a manager in mark Dunlop who genuinely cares about him, every single day giving him all the best people around him from a sports message to dietary advice. All things that a lot of boxers take for granted . We know we're the underdog and rightly so. But trust me this ain't going to be no canter and Ronnie will give him everything he has and will stay with him and stop him late in my opinion. Looking forward to this weekend though. Dundee deserves this!!

Ward looks the one for me. Developing nicely over the last 2 years, improving at a rate. 8/1 is big odds but I won't be having any of it.

Wasn't the first Hughes fight with the clash of heads which the ref amazingly classed as a knockdown?

I see Ward winning a UD. He looked good vs Townsend and it looked very easy too I thought Townsend would have beaten him.

Ward looked great against townend and i think hes ready for next level now watched andy destroy chris conwell inside 2 round saturday defending his english title and he couldnt get close to ward can see the clark fight going exactly the same ward was poor for the first hughes fight and since then he as looked very good including destroying hughes in the rematch hopefully he moves onto bigger things after this fight and leaves some very good fights to happen for the british

Good odds for a 2 horse race. However everytime Clark has stepped up he has not won. Gives a good account of himself but the bottom line is every time he has stepped up to domestic level he falls short. Don't see Saturday being any diffrent.

Ye. The ref called two knockdowns from a clash of heads genuine knockdowns. This would of resulted in two 10-8 rounds with the rest being fairly even. Somehow it was declared a draw. On my scorecard I think I had Hughes up by 4.

Got a sneaky feeling for Clarke but that's just probably the optimistic Scot in me!

The Shark will drag Ward into Deep Waters, 8-1 is an insult. Fill your boots! Ronnie will do this.

Some of the comments from people on here :oo .. This is a 50/50 fight.. Odds are crazy end of the day fights are not won in the bookies or in boxing forums.. I'm looking forward to a great fight and may the best man win. #AndTheNew #FightingTogether #WeBelieve

Nice little double Ronnie and Andrew Robinson both to win 26-1. Robinson fights Markham for English on Friday night

Ward is an unbeaten British champ and Ronnie has lost every time he's stepped up regardless of the decisions. That's what the bookies will be looking at.

It's a big price I'll have a little bet on him but it's a big ask. Hopefully he pulls it off :TU:

Should be no question that Ward is favourite, but 8-1 is very tempting. Might have a small punt.

with respect mark the only other time Ronnie was " in deep waters' with a top fighter he got stopped!
However this isn't an easy fight for Martin and the 1/20 is just a joke. Ronnie can punch a bit so I'd be inclined to have a wee 20 @ 8/1 for an interest
Good luck to Ronnie on sat
